What is satolottery?

** Salottery is a brand new independent bitcoin lottery website developed by me (kopplex) and a friend, the project started in 2015 as an idea of conception, satolottery promises you to provide a better version of the bitcoin lottery, the finalization of the project and the launch were made in 2016, the project is developed using blockchainapi

How does it work?

** In satolottery there's different lottery type which differ in the ticket's price so that everyone can play, your ticket's odds of winning will be no greater or less than any other ticket, but you can multiply your odds of winning by purchasing multiple tickets, the jackpot for every lottery grows with time!
** After reaching 10 participants (can be changed in the future) a countdown of 10 minutes will start, between this time you are still able to purchase other tickets to multiply your odds of winning, after the countdown end, a winner will be selected completely randomly, the winner will get his bitcoin transferred to his bitcoin address registered with his account.
** The jackpot is calculated as follows : 0.9 * (TICKET'S PRICE) * (NUMBER OF TICKET SOLD)
** All the winnings will be sent manually by an admin to the bitcoin address registered with the winner's account.

Thank you for reading my presentation, let me know what do you think about our website   Smiley .

Lower the lottery prizes as well ticket prizes, no one would buy the tickets that high especially from a new site.
it would be good if you show the jackpot/prize in bitcoin.

Normally lottery is something that has low price and huge prizes. This site offers high price ticket and low jackpot amount. So I think they should increase the prize and reduce the ticket price instead of reduce both prize and price.
Even I would say it is not a lottery but is is something like raffle because there is minimum ticket sold required before the draw.

Price of tickets is one thing but what about provable fairness? How can participants verify that the winning ticket was picked completely randomly? This would be the no.1 concern for anybody looking to play the lottery. Other than the design and UI of the site is pretty decent, nice simple, sober colors and easy on the eyes.

Your website is doing completely the opposite of what a lottery site should do. You are asking very high prices for tickets and prize is not that big, while in real lottery price of ticket is very low and the prizes are huge I mean the big prizes like Jackpot, as they may have also lower prizes like winning another free ticket to play for next round etc.

First of all thank you all for your feedback this help us very much in improving our website, i will try to reply to all your question.

the cost of ticket is very high, generally lottery in bitcoin have low price, not this:
10 $ - 50 $ - 100 $

who can guaranted, later you have sell all ticket, don't close a site and don't pay?

We are now working in reducing the cost of the ticket so that everyone can test it, "who can guaranted, later you have sell all ticket, don't close a site and don't pay?" well, how can you be sure that the owner of satoshidice or coinroyale or any other bitcoin gambling website don't run away tomorrow or in one week or one year ? these sites have built up trust within players, when they opened for the first time their website i don't think that they got immediately the trust from the players, and it's the same thing for us, you need to play and see by your eyes, i don't have the power to convince you to trust us.

All the post that are talking about the ticket's price and the jackpot, we will make the ticket's price low so that everyone can test the website, about the jackpot we can make it bigger but we will need to increase the (minimum players) for the draw as it's now on 10 , because the jackpot grow up for every ticket purchased, for example ; if the ticket's price is 10$ and the (minimum players) for the draw is 30 the jackpot will be higher or equal to 0.9 * 10 * 30 = 270$

First thank you for your feedback about the website design, we appreciate that !
About the provably fairness, the winner is automatically selected by the system after reaching the (minimum players) for the draw and the end of the countdown by the SQL function RAND()  you can read more about this function here or here  Smiley

40%! commission is incredibly high.   Undecided

Yes we realized that,  we are now taking only 10%!  Smiley
-----------------------------------------------------

The lotteries are now updated, the minimum player for the draw is now 20, thank you all for your feedback i hope i have answered all your questions  Wink

is little bit different. All dice site have start (but already more are trust member first to start a dice), but start with any free promo, with faucet (and more player play whit this).
your site is a lottery, you can leave all doubt with any trustable escrow at least for the first times

exactly, you can not compare a lottery system with dice sites, it is so much different plus all those dice sites have a provably fair system that anybody can check his every single bet with the hash codes they have.

is the lottery system of you have such a similar feature to check how fair the winner was picked?

there are many documentation online about this function, there is no point of adding a button "check the ticket" , it's not a dice website, it's not the same system.

About the provably fairness, the winner is automatically selected by the system after reaching the (minimum players) for the draw and the end of the countdown by the SQL function RAND()  you can read more about this function here or here  Smiley

As i said in my last post the winner is selected by the SQL function RAND()
there are many documentation online about this function, there is no point of adding a button "check the ticket" , it's not a dice website, it's not the same system.

This do not necessary mean it is fair. You could be posting this screenshot but in your actual code, you modified it. I am also a lottery site owner here. You can check out my site, http://bitrevenues.com/, under section "How do we determine the winning tickets?", you will be able to find a way to use Blockchain to select the winner. It is provably fair - no one can control the outcome. You can change my method to your liking such as using SHA1() instead of MD5().

I am by no means the owner of the method, but it would be great for you to linkback to BitRevenues.com for sharing this tip with SatoLottery.

So sad! This profile does not appear as the #1 result (on anonymous) Google searches anymore.

I appreciate that you are sharing your method with me, but our lottery don't work the same way, in your lottery every ticket is associated to a 9 digits number, in my lottery ticket are not associated to a number this is why i use the RAND() function , but i really appreciate the way that you are determining the winner, i will try to look more into it and make some test  Smiley.

As I stated it my previews post. You can modify the method to your needs. I came up with an idea for your lottery.

Once ten tickets is purchased, the next block mined (shown on Blockchain.info) will be used to determine the winning number. The winning number will be the first number to appear in MD5(blockTransactionID). Zero will be equivalent to ticket ID "10".

i don't speak for provably fair because i don't know more of programmation (but in the forum more user can test if a site is provably fair. But my question is another, why you don't use escrow for the first time?
