It's been a bit of a challenge, but I've finally determined that (as of today) 2000 XRP < $1 US < 3000 XRP
Therefore (it seems) 50,000 XRP < 1
BTC < 75,000 XRP
These determinations were the result of jumping through some rather non-intuitive hoops.
It was much easier to buy XRP with USD than it was with BTC, but I had to transfer in some BTC and sell them for USD first.
If you'd have told me 10 years ago that I was going to be using dollars to buy ripple, I'd have pictured myself like these guys:
