1. Many of us here would prefer that Bitcoin be left alone to self regulate. But they question is, WHAT do we need to self regulate and how can we go about efficiently doing so? Or do we need governments to step in and regulate for us?
2. In my opinion, one of the issues we must self-regulate is our increased energy consumption and subsequent increased
carbon footprint. Therefore, I created
Ecocoin - a mining pool where the (3%) fees are donated to non profit organizations that plant trees and buy rainforest land in an effort to offset our increased carbon footprint. What do you think, will it work? Will we self regulate? Or will man's inherent greed get in the way and it will be avoided because of the higher than normal fees?
