At this I think it would be in the best interest of LTC & TRC supporters to leave btc-e. They are exploiting our good name for their petty schemes. Sad

I just moved the last of my money out of BTC-e.

I am done with their exchange until this bullshit blows over.

Good luck to any of you who decide to put up with BTC-e's bullshit.

2. No the exchange is supposed to be impartial. I wasn't attacking BTC-e. I was attacking NVC which is a bullshit coin.

100,000 coins at current market value on btc-e = 640.00 BTC

640 BTC = 16640.00 USD

$16,640 BRIBE

The price has been higher.

Pretty sure this is a felony.

Be nice if these exchanges instead of just proving the trade amount and price would provide the account numbers for each trade so we can see just how much dirty dealing goes on in a day. That will never happen though then they would all be exposed for the frauds they are.

It turns out that address has been used by both...'companies'

Not a good sign. Laughingbear left the information in the chat (i think) and that was also censored. The little uneducated troll 'blanco' is happily trying to pull more people into this mess and he will not be censored or banned, of course.

Sorry my eyes aren't seeing the connection between these two links...can you make it more obvious what the relation is?

Thanks

yepp sure...

according to whois,
the btc-e domain name is registered to Svetleichi,Dmitri

toward the bottom of this page:
http://imfed.org/ratings/btc-e-unknown-company/

you can see:
The street address “13a Sobachkina str.” has been used by a “fake shipping and escrow company run by Romanian scammers”, according to a blogpost and this site.

other domains owned by a Svetleichi Dmitri:
btc-e.net, btc-e.org, btc-e.us
btc-forum.com, btc-forum.org
bitcoincharts.net, bitcoincharts.org
bitfloor.net, bitfloor.org
imcex.info
icbit.net
campbx.org

Follow that link to
http://netscammers.blogspot.de/2011/07/perfect-cargonet-selling-your-dead-sons.html

Basically it says the same address used by Dmitri Svetleichi, to register btc-e, was the exact same address used by perfect-cargo.net, a fake shipping and escrow company run by Romanian scammers

ouch. That is a lot of real money that BitInstant sends them every day to fill up their reserves. I wonder if they know who the owners are.

See no one has mentioned the questionable practice of the buying and selling to yourself that every exchange I have ever tested it on allows you to do. A nice bonus feature for the market manipulators on all the exchanges.

Anyone could easily get around a rule like that by using multiple accounts. It'd add complexity to the system and only effect honest users.

I've never tried to manipulate things that way (I don't think it would work too well), but since everyone knows it possible and can do it themselves I don't see it as a problem.

What honest user is buying and selling to themselves? It would not effect them in any way and if it is such a non-problem why has it been legislated into law for just about any exchange that is in existence. You know them puny little things like the NY and London Stock Exchanges.. This coin shit is just like gambling it is always nice to know your about to sit down at a rigged table or the dice have been shaved/weighted.

My point was that I don't see it as dishonest... it's a tactic anyone can use if they like. IF you make a rule against it, ONLY the honest users will be bound by it.

What's your rational? Saying there's a law is no argument at all, there's a million stupid laws. I honestly don't get why you'd want to monkey with a free market by stacking on rules that you can't even enforce.

Maybe we should use vircurex as an exchange instead of btc-e?  No NVC trading there. And I've generally been happy with the service. Had a couple of hiccups there (especially on a large transaction that took a few days to get fixed) but overall less drama there. They do have some iffy-coins still listed (FRC, IX, etc) but I just avoid those. Wish I could sell LTCs for USD directly instead of via BTC but no biggie.

And no... I'm not associated with them or a paid shill. Just a occasional user.

Sorry, I'm all sold out of x6500's.

You can exchange LTC and USD on Vircurex.

click on Settings, Layout, and then uncheck "Show only BTC rates," and save.

LTC/USD exchange is here:
