** SCAM ALERT **

Shadow cash changed their google form and is asking for private keys now.

NEVER GIVE YOUR PRIVATE KEYS.

Please be careful with applying for the airdrops of small projects. If this continues we will have to evaluate our policy about listing
smaller airdrops.

Retweet this to warn the community: https://twitter.com/Airdropalertcom/status/924518799285526529

Thank you for warning. How anyone can give own private key for such airdrops. You opening your door for thefts literally.

Deff. a scam if they ask for your private keys. That is a huge red flag. Never ever give your keys away like that.

We need to be careful, so many scammers, two airdrop forms I filled today asked for passwords, jbox and moondrop, moondrop did not even ask for our wallet address, none had websites, even if u sign up, don't ever give them any password u use to access sites where you have important details or cash.

It really depends, I am working on a project and we did think that airdrop could be useful but the issue we see now is that people expect to get rich from it. Thus, often the wrong people join and only damage the entire project
We will probably do more like a bounty and without things like social media  and alike. Since it fits the project we are building. Still, given the current situation we are considering postponing everything

Yes, this is my feeling also. I am moderating for telegram and when the airdrop came it was madness of people demanding the drop and getting also very aggressive. It is a small present they should understand that also. It is not the moon.

Partially it is because 50% of airdrops have "an idea" without even draft of a roadmap. They do airdrop and go to any exchange hoping for who knows what. That spins airdrop as simple way to gain free money.

Problem is how to create airdrop which would collect people interested in project for a long term. Having just form with ether wallet and email address won't do that.

This is true but we have been studying also some project that seemed more like so and it feel like since lately people go for airdrop a lot for the possible fast pump and dump. For our project where we need to have companies on board using the coin, that will only damage us. Even when we only do bounty, out bounty system (integral to the roadmap itself and not a one off) will make it easy to receive coins making it rather similar to a drop. And that worries us somewhat.
