Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

I think we can say for certain that there will be some media coverage when we break the all-time high. It all depends on what the coverage will be like, were it will appear and how people respond, so it could go either way.

A scenario where major investors begin to notice Bitcoin and pay serious attention to it because of Bitcoin breaking the ATH is certainly plausible. It will go parabolic once hedge-funds and banks find out Bitcoin is the future and they can't run the risk of being left behind, however, it's not unlikely we'll have to wait another few years for this to happen.

I don't know what's gona happen. But it will mean no one saying they are loosing money with bitcoin.

NO, we have already had a quick rise and the market has matured so don't expect people to go too crazy (hopefully).
