I dont think it will happen because it has no country origin and unlike anyother curriences note they have curriencies. And they habe laws regarding to their currencies note. All i can say it will never happen it will remain to its digital status and thats good for it now.

bitcoin is fully designed as decentralized and digital. and there is no chance to happen this nearly future. but if devoloper do something and make paper notes of bitcoin. I think afterward using bitcoin physically will be more easily. buying selling. spending and collecting.

Ask Satoshi to use his 1 million bitcoin to buy big island/lands and make his/her/their own country So, Satoshi or trusted company who can make paper notes of bitcoin. But, i think we can modify paper wallet to be paper notes/bank cheque. Good idea Lol. I actually think it would be pretty cool if Bitcoins became a physical thing. Then more shops would start accepting it and it would become more used and recognized as a real currency.

If they they get rid of the blockchain too. I think it will really catch on, I can even imagine America using such a currency!

Are you implying that bitcoin is male? How do you suppose that the currency notes be printed and spent? Bitcoin(s) are owned by controlling the key(s) to the address(es) which has the funds, you can't print notes and give it to others without printing the key to it and if you print the keys on notes any one who acquires them can transfer the coins from that note to their own wallet, making the notes USELESS. Think through before asking these kind of questions jak1.

The possibilities are very low. If bitcoin gets the physical currency the decentralization of the bitcoin will be affected, which really makes some impact in digital currencies growth.

Officially there aren't any physical notes (like a normal currency) but some have made a custom made ones (unofficial), more like just for fun (can't find their links). IMO there won't be any of them (officially) any time soon or rather never will happen since the whole purpose of BTCitcoin is something different and by doing this, a part of it's purpose will be gone.

There are physical Bitcoins already, so its to everyone how much putting trust to these physical Bitcoins (trusting the coin has really hidden private key noone else have copy of). So Bitcoin is not affected if someone create physical Bitcoins, even if used widely, you still have option whether you trust these physical Bitcoins and accept them, or you dont.

Bitcoin is a variation of digital money and as such it can't have printed bills that same way as government-issued banknotes are generated for the population. But I think paper wallets can act as paper Bitcoin money. You give someone a paper waller with the desired denomination in Bitcoin and you have transacted Bitcoin physically in the real world.

There will be no currency notes distributed for Bitcoin unless they are individuals' wallets with some Bitcoin stored on a holographic signature or QR code.
Having Bitcoin currency notes insinuates that there is a central authority distributing them, which directly works against Bitcoin's core values.

The whole idea with Bitcoin, is to do away with the old way {fiat currency} and to replace it with a digital token. Why would we want to go back to something that has failed? Who will issue these notes? Bitcoin is digital and it is decentralized for a purpose .... This makes it fast and easy to use and it also takes away the manipulation aspect of it. Currently governments are printing money as if it is going out of fashion. The closest you will come to Bitcoin on paper, is when you print out your paper wallet on Bitaddress.org.

Why you want a physical note? Bitcoin is pure digital! If you pay with it you use your computer or smartphone. This is where the technology of today's other payments systems is heading into as well. If ou wanna have something physical get an Bitcoin debit card. There are several good providers out there.

I don't really understand why you would want to carry notes with you...
Times are changing, and so is our perception of money. It does not need to be physical anymore and with bitcoin you don't even need to trust anyone backing it also.
Just carry your phone with you and you can make payments at more and more places every day. No need for notes.

The structure of bitcoin is entirely different from the currency note and it will not be possible to print notes as there is no physical value of this. There have been many attempts to create physical bitcoins. Most (like the one below) hide the private key inside under a tamper proof seal. If you ever wanted to you could destroy the paper bill and use the private key to transfer the bitcoin to another account. So they are backed by real bitcoin, but they require trust. How do I know the private key is really in there? How would I know if someone used an Xray machine to see the key inside? Or maybe the issuer of the bill kept a copy of all the private keys when he made the bills? Square peg, meet round hole.

Bitcoin being a decentralized crypto currency there is no one on the helm with the authority to issue paper Bitcoin bills like in centralized governments. I think you have 2 options. The first one is to buy cheap Bitcoin physical coins and load them with the desired amounts. The 2nd one is to print paper wallets and load them as well with different amounts. So now you have physical paper bills and coins with Bitcoin digital money in your hands. Cheers

I know we have some purists in how bitcoin should operate but I tend to follow the idea that the more options people have to get bitcoin the better. If they need something physical to hold so be it. Also like the idea of picking up bitcoin at a gas station like the credit cards that are prepaid.

Well bitcoin is a digital or virtual currency which was developed in a way to handle it electronically and i don't think that it will ever come up in form of physical currencies like notes or coins etc..Moreover bitcoin was developed with a purpose to handle e-transactions .So i don't think whatever you asked here will ever happen.

Bitcoin could have a fractonal reserve built on it. But here is the catch, if the debt scheme collapses, they cant print bitcoins to ease the collapse. Therefore bitcoin will never be the fiat money of choice of bankers. And those that will use bitcoin's fiat form, will just simply lose, but the risk will be contained to those suckers, as the digital bitcoin cannot be counterfeited.

You can create one yourself, all you need to is saying, whoever own this note, mail it to you, you will send how much Bitcoin to his address. Oh well, i think a company with enough money and Bitcoin can do this. Of course why will he do this, what is the benefit for him and general public? Since Bitcoin is very easy to carry, paper note offer no value at all,

There were Casascius Bitcoins, physical coins of brass which contained a private key and a physical address. Since November 2013, they are just souvenirs with no real Bitcoin worth. Now, there are other manufacturers of physical Bitcoins (coins): some even come in silver (Alitin, etc) or gold (Titan, etc). There are plenty of them - just google:) Such physical Bitcoins, however, serve more as collectibles or gifts. There is no point of using them on the regular basis (due to a number of reasons stated above).
There is also a ton of paper wallets (treat them as notes). The only point in them is to use in a brick-and-mortar store that accepts Bitcoins when your smartphone's battery's gone dead. Otherwise, there are too many shortcomings of paper Bitcoins.. There were stories of people accidentally washing them together with jeans, for example.

Paper wallets Is not even close to money, this is combination of public and private key, maybe it is on paper but this is only because we need more accessibilities. Paper wallet is perfect for disposable.

I cannot imagine to see bitcoin in a currency note in near future as first of all the Governments will never make it happen, but if bitcoin is available in physical form then we will see many new users adopting it, as people want to have something that they can hold physically.

Yeah bitcoin is unique, it differs from other currencies only by its nature. If it is made as a real currency note where will we use it as it is not accepted by most countries and can't be used locally, so if these changes are made bitcoin will definitely suffer.
