I think Amazon loves bitcoin but knows how difficult is in terms of marketing to make it attractive.
Maybe Amazon coins are just saying, yes, we cannot make a virtual currency to compete with it.
I think this was a positive move. It will end up showing how superior bitcoin is.  Cheesy
