5-10 years for them to copy and roll something similar out is what they meant. Does not take that long to understand bitcoin.

yeah,to short for company like IBM to learn and try to use blockchain technology,they just too hurry and just depend on trends to start talk about blockchain. |

Blockchain is the new Buzz word in the financial industry, and if you want to sound cool or prepare for the future of money, you will have to brush up on your Blockchain knowledge. We laugh at the people, who think they can create centralized permissioned ledgers and then still call it Blockchain tech. A true Blockchain technology has to be public and permisionless and decentralized. These people try to look cool and wants to distance themselves from Bitcoin, but they are actually cheap imitations of the original idea, which is the public Bitcoin Blockchain.  |

I think any other company can easily catch up to Bitcoin now, because it is not protected with intellectual property rights and there are nobody claiming it. In my opinion this is public domain and individuals and big companies can copy the code and just tweak it a little bit and then use it. We have many Alt coins as proof of this.
Mike Hearn will help R3 to do this, with his knowledge and experienced gained from the Bitcoin Blockchain and they will roll this out, within this year or 2017. Mark my words today.

he said he could see the potential of sein blockhain price up and there is a competion rdhat,IBM,RIPPLE AND ETH
he also said this tech is not ready and needs some time to understand it, i think he means governments to understand the potential of blockahin network and what it can bring
but he said Bitcoin,blockhain will change the world in his perspective, asked if IBM can replace bitcoin and he didnt gave me the answer
