Hi Guys,

Really interesting staking project, is this the right github repo: https://github.com/xptx/PlatinumBar?files=1 because there hasn't been any commits since May 2016, but dev seems active.

Thanks!

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

Read through the posts.  He is active but doesn't have a roadmap yet.  It's like an anti-ICO.  No massive launch, no huge promises, just a coin people stumble across.  I've been in it for a while now and am happy.

Thanks, I did read through the posts, but didn't see any commits on GitHub.  Dev, do you have a private repo you plan to pull in soon?

Also a question about staking this coin:  Staking returns sound awesome, but doesn't the coin need to have transactions in order for miners to earn fees?  Or is everyone just generating empty blocks and accumulating?

Yes, the wallet is rock solid and a pleasure to use Smiley

Staking fragments your stack into a million specks of dust...
So using Coin Control to reconstitute bigger blocks may optimize performance.

What is optimal size of coin stack?
The reward amount doesn't match the size of stack.
I can see smaller stack returns bigger reward, so  I though it is pretty much random.
So I just combined all coins as a stack, but usually it's not a strategy.
The very next reward is usually very small.
    Do I miss anything?

I don't know what optimal block size is, but I'm experimenting...

    (a)  it can't be "random" because then minnows would get a higher pct return than whales

    (b)  I have 48 blocks right now and the one's with the highest confirmation number tend to be small

    (c)  I'm pretty sure my return is better since I started consolidating blocks, will know for sure in about 10 days

For some weird reason I'm fascinated by this type of high yield coin...

Nope.  Just stake 24/7, don't waste coinage, and maximize your compound interest.

Exactly right! twitter is a high-impacted social media, so twitter campaign will help to spread popularity of the project.

Actually, I have a detailed Excel sheet for each of my positions...
Based on staking about 1% of all XPTX for 2 months... you're approach is sub-optimal Smiley
