Can we Manipulate Bitcoin price?

i'm not sure we can manipulate bitcoin price but if we all not try we never now maybe it will work to rise the price before halving comes.

There are lots of reasons to believe that the price may soon go up significantly, and I think it's entirely appropriate for the early bitcoin supporters to be the ones who profit from it. Owning 1 BTC, or even 21 BTC, is not going to change anyone's life anytime soon.

The reason why bitcoins price is rising now is due to many people are bagging btc now because they want to have btc in their pocket so if halving comes they can join the trend of earners for the said even. But really its good to have btc for now because bitcoin price is rising daily and many people see the oppurtunity by it to earn more since halving is coming,  and halving for now is talk by people on this furom some other speculates good and some are speculating bad for this event.

I believe halving hype has a lot to do with the price increase, and I can feel that it will continue until the halving date. The price will become stable after the halving.

I think it's possible, if you have big amount of bitcoin As we know exchanger that we use, always manipulate the price of bitcoin every day with their bots. So if you want to manipulate prices, prepare sufficient funds first. thank you

Well I think we cna manipulate bitcoin price that is if we have many money to manipulate it. For example you have a million dollar, you bought a million dollar worth of bitcoin then dump it, or you bought a million dollar worth of bitcoin then hold it, someone can manipulate btc's price if they have a large sum of usd to manipulate it.

Market manipulation is almost that, but they're referring to normal people in this thread as opposed to what whales have. Normal people like you and me, with maybe $1000 available at most for Bitcoin. It is insinuated that it would be a large coalition that would work together to manipulate the value, formed out of people like you and me. As for that possibility, that's nearly impossible. It has to be seriously coordinated, basically far more than what I could see happen, and there would need to be a lot of capital available. It's basically all impossible.

Probably almost times yes, But not always, sometimes the price responds to many other market conditions only.

yeah to manipulate the price you have to have a lot of capital. probably more than $ 10k. because the volume of bitcoin is currently quite large. you have to make such price. you also have to dare to fight risk

That could not happen now because majority of the holders of bitcoins is holding a decent amount of bitcoins and if you want to manipulate the price of bitcoins you need their full cooperation to make it happen and I doubt if they will because every holder has its own interest with bitcoins either for short term or long term investment. Let us just use bitcoins in a proper way and not to manipulate it for our own good. Let us help the community to grow.

You certainly could if you are a whale, however, you are probably not one since you're bothering with posting this post Anyone can make an impact on the bitcoin price, whether large or small.

But if you want to manipulate the price by say $20, then you need some serious funds.

I think if we all agree to sell on a specific price then people will be imposed to buy only on that price, so this is the way to manipulate the price which is much harder nowadays as there are millions of people buying and selling their coins.

What's the point of manipulating the price all the way up? As far as I know this would make bitcoin a man made ponzi scheme in itself. Nobody's selling and everyone's buying. No point at all to keep BTC prices artificially high.

This could be done in theory but requires lots of funds. Also keep in mind there are only so many people that is going to sell coins to you.

What's the point of manipulating the price all the way up? As far as I know this would make bitcoin a man made ponzi scheme in itself. Nobody's selling and everyone's buying. No point at all to keep BTC prices artificially high.

This could be done in theory but requires lots of funds. Also keep in mind there are only so many people that is going to sell coins to you.

But you can simply apply the trading scene for bitcoin price up as you can see if theres many buy  on coins the more price will be up and the more sell happens the more it die and that is really happening now many people are buying bitcoins for good thats why we experience good price rally and it will continue for this days if many people will still buy.

As what the other user said, we can. Yes we can but it requires really big capital to do so. My speculation is we need atleast 1million btc like what satoshi's wallet currently holds then if we already have this such amount we could manipulate btc value to 10-20% of its current price making it dump 10-20% or pump it with same percentage.

I guess we just need the Chinese market to start the panic buying. The rest of us stand to gain. I assuming the only reason that bitcoin price would crash is due to Satoshi moving his coins.

I think if all of us in this forum agree to sell the forum on a specific rate then I think on a few exchanges we will see the same price which we wanted to get, bt not all over the world.
