Can we Manipulate Bitcoin price?

I think its not possible and although I like the idea of forming a bitcoin talk forum cartel it cannot be done. How will you manage to put almost 1 million users having the same idea and who will be the highest lord of this cartel ?  Better hold your coins in your wallet and hope for the best.

You can never do that because as human we are greedy and we cannot unite with one intention as we have our own interest to make money, and for me that is good so we cannot manipulate the price of bitcoin and it will fair to all the users and patronizers of bitcoin.

When the market cap of the bitcoin becomes bigger in the next few years, it is more difficult to influence the price.

I think everyone of bitcoin holders, even if it is just couple satoshies, can manipulate bitcoin price. The fact that you get involved in all this crypto world already making bitcoin work. And if more people use it price is getting higher. That is simple math. Price for bitcoin depends from many factors for sure, but such people like we are with our little operations with BIC (like sellin, buying it, gambling, investing) make the crypto machine go.

I think it could be done by a big whales or large exchangers, such as china exchangers which has always been a the direction to determine the price goes up or down.

yes i think so, there are so big players who can effect the market price of bitcoin just like in stock exchange the big investors disturb the market because they are holding a big amount in share to they start selling their share with low rate which create panic in the market and the small investors also sell their shares with low rate and book lost, similarly it is also possible in bitcoin market that the big investor can easily influence the market.

He wouldnt show any evidence since he hasnt evidence at all. lol .  You dont know whose every kind of person here in the forum ,  they might   one of the big holders of bitcoin world are they are just here to have some information and not only just making money in this forum. you might be able to manipulate the price of bitcoin, but you need a number of bitcoin very much, even more than 1000 BTC. I think only large companies that are able to do it. we might be able to change the price of bitcoin, but we must do it together, as sold simultaneously at a bargain price, but I will not do it

I think it is can but it will need much time,seriousness management,compactness of bitcointalk members,sustainable and hard work to make cartel of bitcointalk members to manipulate price of bitcoin.

very poor and "only 1 bitcoin"? if they hold a whole bitcoin then they aren't that poor, am i right? especially if they keep holding their "only 1 bitcoin" for many years as a long term investment. the price will only go higher and higher.

No one could be doing that alone, it needs a full pack of team otherwise it will fail. There has been alot of people or groups that actually show how they manipulate the market, mostly on btc-e as traders there are quite volatile regarding the price movement , this shows it is actually easy to do if you have the team to do it

Still not that easy mate because you need to have a trusted team members that would ensure to only play the price base on the goal of the team, overtime individual's interest will prevail which would lead to the failure of the group.

I don't think so. The amount of money that you're gonna be needing to actually make the price of bitcoin move is really really too much. Maybe if you're a millionaire in real life, then it's possible that you buy tons of bitcoins and make fun of the bitcoin price. I think to make the price of bitcoin move, one should be doing it with a group of whales. If whales dump their coins, the price of bitcoin will surely go down. If whales decided to step up their game and buy more bitcoins, then the price of bitcoin will pump. It's as simple as that.

as the big investors are doing it in stock exchange but still i am hopeful that it may not be possible in bitcoin forum. because the price of bitcoin is so reasonable that they even cannot think how to lower the price of bitcoin, the second thing is bitcoin is a universal currency and people from all over the world are studying bitcoin regularly so they are not letting bitcoin fell down to such a low price.

if it is still difficult I think it can still be used? I think some time ago in which prices rose towards $ 750? and then descend rapidly towards $ 600. is it you think it is a manipulation? I think we do not know it? there are many who still holds bitcoin mafia. while users have not been great. bitcoin still able to be manipulated

Yes, with an unknown altcoin it's pretty easy but not with Bitcoin. And even if we could do it, I personally against the *PUMP AND DUMP* strategy. What will be the price of Bitcoin after that DUMP? Do we really need that?
