Yes we can ,we can manipulate the price of.bitcoin to the price we wanted it to go. Some big companies manipulate bitcoin price to gain profit in it.
In my opinion we cant manipulate bitcoin price and im think the one who can manipulate price is the exchanges like happen in 2013 they manipulate the price of the bitcoin. How can a certain exchange manipulate the price, we have a lot of exchanges so they have to unite with the manipulation then so people will not make easy money for doing some kind of arbitrage. |

No isnt soo easy as looks like, there are several coins circulating if those big guys came into bitcoin they may clean the current coins, but they cant control bitcoin because people might bring the coins that were at savings, be sure no one can make such and to make such it will cost millions, no one will spend millions for nothing. Bitcoin its in several hands soo a whale cant control it alone, but its possible to get a big influence at it. |

Wall street traders won't do so. If they buy up all circulating coins, then it will be too costly even when they do it slowly. They are not in the game to pump the price up significantly, so others can dump the price down again by taking profits. It doesn't work like that. |

They are not in the game to pump the price up significantly, so others can dump the price down again by taking profits. It doesn't work like that. In short, they are not the ones to be left holding the bag. If it were otherwise, some small fish of them (but surely not of Soros caliber) might have jumped on the bandwagon leaving general public holding the bag in the end. But Bitcoin seems not to allow this, and the Wall street wolves would be like any other sheep in this respect... They certainly don't love to feel like that, and therefore are not interested |

I know there are many big players who manipulate bitcoin price and make huge profits but can we the bitcointalk members also form a cartel and let bitcoin price never fall?is it possible that we manipulate price as I am sure most of bitcoin users visit this forum
The bitcoin price can be manipulated but I don't think that we have the power to manipulate is because manipulating the price we should hold a very large amount of bitcoin. What we can do is manipulating a little bit the price on the exchanges but it goes stable again in a short period of time. |

If you hold a big share of bitcoin then obviously you could manipulate it in a few different ways. It might be happenings already.
But I don't think any of the forum users would hold a share big enough to influence the prices.

Bitcoin are in several hands, soo even with those rich people getting interested into bitcoin they will spend bilions to get almost all the bitcoins, because some people might dont sell their bitcoins, people are saving at bitcoin soo i doubt they will exchange them knowing they get a huge potencial to grow.

At this point in time, too many people would react in a several dollar increase unlike back then, too many people would doubt and would decide not to throw money at it thinking that it's only a temporary pump and dump. Today, since people have already proven that they could make money out of bitcoin, they would blindly throw money at it and the whales' job is done. |

Now news are moving market, and halving is great example of how some big news can influence on btc price. I think that will be the future, manipulation of price can be done with good organization. That's why I always thought that trolls are paid for trolling, simply they are tool's for this kind of cold wars. |

In overall whales want the price to increase so they can make more money, if ever there is a price fall back that is happening we have to be willing to buy those cheap bitcoins as it is just done by the whales to buy cheap bitcoins to maximize their profit. We should go with the flow. |
