I think you must to have a capital of 10 billion USD to purchase the stock of the bitcoin to be able manipulate the bitcoin, if you just ask, of course that's not possible.

I guess so but I think if there is/are people who will do that they are not going to stop unless they make their investment back as even double or triple. And those people who are manipulating bitcoin's price surely they got a big investment and holds a lot of bitcoins in the market. I just don't know if they are that many or few who are doing it.
Yes, its really need big of financial capital to be able manipulate the bitcoin price, or if there are some community that buy or sell bitcoin in the same time. China people has the biggest chance to influence bitcoin price.

It seems that many are believing that China has the majority stocks or holdings of bitcoin. I don't know but I think they really have that amount in bitcoin and they are the ones who are also responsible why the price of bitcoin is moving from decrease to increase. And of course when the price increased a lot, many of us are selling and that's how we are also manipulating the price by selling altogether.

Yeah, I don't think China is the leading powerhouse in the bitcoin world. They may have a substantial amount of bitcoins, but they are all scattered, and they have not formed an alliance with one another yet to be able to control the price of bitcoin. If they do act as one, probably they would create a significant impact. But if they are not, then we can consider them as just part of the system like everyone else using bitcoins.
I agree with that, because they have big mining business in bitcoin, we automatically assume they are the bigger holder of bitcoin. I believe some people are holding big supplies especially the early investor, and I think also that it is just fair, they have trusted bitcoin and now that bitcoin has been successful they get the success as well.
A good opinion, even though they have a huge amount, but the problem is what percentage they have if they want to manipulate the bitcoin. If we look, the price of bitcoin looks very natural so if anyone can manipulation, I thought was impossible.
yes not easy if we want manipulatrd the prices, we need big group to do that but I have think seems like its impossible to happened due the bitcoin holder will no want take a part.

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Yes we can or even you can manipulate the price of bitcoin
If you do have a lot of money to buy a lot of coins or if you don't have that big amount of money
Make sure you have a lot of bitcoins so you can manipulate and do pumps and dumps for bitcoin.

in fact it is not so easy to manipulate the price of bitcoin, as bitcoin is not a regional currency but it is a decentralize universal currency, therefore i think it will require a huge amount of bitcoin to manipulate its price.

We may say that because we aren't holding a lot of bitcoins but there are people who are holding thousands of bitcoin and they can simply manipulate and help the price movement by each of their movement. But there is something that makes me believe that there are group of people who are really controlling the price.

Not mainly, there are a lot of positive things that happened which affects the price of bitcoin to increase. If you will analyze carefully which is a must for every investors, the real reason behind the success is us, we keep supporting bitcoin and it has come to the attention to a lot of people and that adoption rate have increases. It's a continuing process as the price is mainly depending on the demand of the people.

Agreed, if no one was buying bitcoins then the price of bitcoin shouldn't be increasing. Halving just mainly affects the miner because it divides the block reward by two. Halving is affecting the price as well but not directly. For example, if there was no bitcoin halving happening every four years, then the block reward would still be relatively large and the price wouldn't be like this.

one of the biggest factors is due to halving day on July or 5 months ago, a lot of media preaching, including bloomberg. people who do not know be interested to know bitcoin, then they buy and use for the transaction. many of those who continue to be active users till now include me.

In 2013, 12 months after halving, the price rose about 50 times. This time might rise 10 times.

If it rises 10 times, that is about $5000 price.

I am not sure about it, although trading is just another game of changing market price
But i wondering if someone hold or buy bitcoin like half of the total of bitcoin supply
16,084,087 bitcoin total supply , let's say someone hold half of it 8 million bitcoin
And they are a pro trader , in theory they could really manipulate the price as they wish , but practically we don't know.

first of all that is only a conspiracy theory in my opinion and is not even possible to do that because to buy 8 million bitcoin you have to pay a tremendous amount of money during a very long time which means buying at various prices. and there are so much easier ways to earn profit than doing something like that!

besides if we assume it is right, then it means he will pump the price to 50,000 dollar easily and sell slowly to become a multi billionaire! and everybody wins Cheesy

but you know i can just imagine with that situation , how the market will move
let's say all chinese bitcoin holder have more than 8 million bitcoin accumulated
then if they play together, isn't it possible to manipulate the price?

Basically to manipulate Bitcoin price we have to know how this price formed. I would like to know. Which factors depends on the price of Bitcoin. Let's know why Bitcoin cost today $916. And if we will discover which factors dictate the price today we can try change them. But as I know price of Bitcoin just set holders. So it's depend in which place you bought your BTC... If I have BTC 200(OMG I want) and I want sold them for 500 000 dollars. I will sell for this price. If have one Jimmy which wanna to buy BTC 200 and 500 000 dollars with Jimmy. So....  This reason why Bitcoin cost today more or less 916 bucks today. This fucking bucks. Because some exchange sold them for 915. Some for 914.

Rivalry is another way to form BTC price globally. All exchangers looking for neighbors exchangers to form their price. But if exchanger Tommy need today 1 000 000 fucking bucks asap. He will sold his BTC for $700. Neighbors need fucking $$$ also. Will put price down. Some neighbors is friends.. So...

To manipulate price of the BTC you have to be Tommy and put a lot of Tommy's into complot around of you.....

But as I said before I love BTC for freedom which this currency can give for us. Now all banking systems ask to put our money in their wallets. Banks make pyramids, control our money, move our money, lock our money and disrespect us

I am normal person and in BTC I can look really freedom of my money. Nobody don't control them. Just me and people around of me

So keep your dirty hands away from freedom of my money!!!!!

More BTCBTCBTCBTC for you people and good profits!!!!

ie a very famous exchange sites. has a very large user. certainly exchange sites that can provide an effect on the price of bitcoin itself. The key in the number of users in bitcoin

if it is possible for us then we can do so but there are some senior traders  who can only manipulate the bitcoin price .it is possible for us if we are a big holder under which so many number of comities hold .
but their effectiveness is now decreasing, because the number of bitcoin users are increasing through out the world therefore it is now becoming difficult to manipulate the price if bitcoin. and as time pass its becoming more and more difficult to manipulated the price of bitcoin
