You need to ask the miners to agree if there should be soft fork or the hard fork. The miners will make the decision, just like the Ethereum miners.
Bitcoin miners community is so huge than ethereum and voting and implementing of soft or hard fork will be not possible at this stage for bitcoin. However why bitcoin should be soft fork?  Roll Eyes

Uh, no. Both of these TXIDs have over 200 confirmations at the time of writing. The BTC have been transferred to 1KFR... and if they are deposits, they should be inducted shortly. Now kindly stop shouting and compose yourself.

I have recently become active again after a long period of inactivity. Cryptographic proof that my account has not been compromised is available.

This is somewhat off-topic for this thread. Either start a new thread asking for help in a calm manner, or try contacting support again.

I WANT TO HAVE A COMBINED SOFT/HARD FORK PLEASE! NOW! INSTANTLY!

because reasons!

Please state your reasons, remembering that a fork (especially a hard fork) is extremely disruptive in many cases. Forks aren't meant to be used to bail out mistakes of individual entities, but only by consensus to fix issues in the Bitcoin protocol/software itself.

Ah, understood. Thanks for clarifying; sometimes given this community I can't be sure that that's satire.

Surprisingly I have heard of them  Cheesy

Now a days nothing is off limits. It seems that people are only interested in making money, no matter how little it is, at any costs.
A shame really. But the wheel keeps turning as they say.  Wink

Fairly sure that off limits money making is exactly what made pirateat40 & Bitcoinica infamous... Roll Eyes (obvious in pirate's case)

Don't know why network issue in one exchange will bring down pride as a whole. I am little confused.

because the whole market is manipulated by the exchangers(the biggest exchangers form a cartel). that's why.

I think I got what you saying. Although I tend to give Bitfinex some benefit of doubt that they themselves are victims of unreliable network connection. I didn't know that Bitfinex is one third player of all BTC/USD traded.

We should watch them as well as Bitcoin price in the next few days.

I propose a soft fork now to blacklist bitfinex bitcoin adreeses and after that a hard fork so we revert the bitcoin blockchain before bitfinex crash. If this happen all the ppl can get their money back and to revert the mistake that have done. If this happen we give a good signal to the media that there is guts to bitcoin system and that we can protect always our friends. I advice anyone to be more carefull in the future.

It didn't happen with MtGox. I'm pretty sure it won't happen now.

Unless, of course, you were just... umm... What's the word?

This crash were perfectly timed for all the wrong reasons, and I am not saying it was planned, but that it happened at the worst time possible. Would you shut down your service if you reach full capacity? Could it be that their network could not handle the load, and it crashed because of that? I just know a lot of people are going to switch exchanges after this embarrassment. ^hmmmm^
