yes it will affect forum market lots of people having spare codes and earning game items will wnt to sell for bitcoin and alot of them will be on forums like these cause this is one of the biggest ones so yes i think so also i willl participate in this.

Well it's here already and didn't quite affect the forum market from what I am able to see and observe.
I think other more "game&bitcoin" related forums have more posts about steam games for sale than bitcointalk does.

That's true. Our forum market haven't got affected. During the initial days when bitcoin was accepted by steam our forum helped in getting more popularity, eventually other gaming forums took it to most gamers. Now due to this lot gamers have got to know about bitcoin as well other digital currencies.

Looks like steam is finally going to accept bitcoin!!!!

http://cointelegraph.com/news/steam-to-accept-payments-via-bitcoin-in-its-next-update

Curious if that will affect the people selling games on the bitcoin talk? And the various other websites you can buy steam at.
Not sure if it will effect the forum market but it is a good thing for bitcoin that it has been accepted at Steam because now more people will notice it.
So Bitcoin has been making so good progress with these deal with different companies.

Yes its good for the bitcoin and its again a big company that is accepting it right now, its by the way also making it more popular so that is another nice thing.
On the other hand I think the forum market will not chance because the prices here are way cheaper than on steam itself!

Our forum market doesn't get much business anyways, but when it does, prices are much lower than steam. What sellers will be more concerned of are sites like opskins, g2a and bitskins.

Yeah there is no certain connection of steam's acceptance of bitcoin for their service. But I guess that is going to make the demand of bitcoins higher as a lot of gamers are covered by the platform of steam. There are merchants who are selling much cheaper than its original price in steam. SO I guess it is going to affect the forum market.

Well I do believe that acceptance of steam with bitcoin did really contribute to the rapid price increase that happened last month.

Because that is going to add up some amount and demand in the market as the users are going to be more too. So I do believed that it is really affecting market.

Right? I think so too steam accepting bitcoin didn't only profit for steam but it was also a very good move for bitcoin itself.
Made it even more known in the digital world which causes more money into bitcoin from people buying them.

yes!!! finally the steam accepting bitcoins now for payment options of there products i hope they add more payment option on there site

Yeah it's really exciting that they are accepting bitcoin it's for a while now already I will profit alot more from their usual sales now.
I like to use bitcoin more then other payment methods cause it's simple and I keep alot of my money in bitcoin so I won't have to swap back for just this which is amazing.

its a good move for them since bitcoin users have alternative choices to pay them and steam can get a bunch of costumers since bitcoin users are globally used by peoples here, steam gets huge advertisement from bitcoin and bitcoin get same exposure for both party acceptance, so i really can say that both bitcoin and steam gets counter good benifits by acceptance, but let's hope and wait for other to accept bitcoins so we can see some mass adoption happened after it and this coin will surely gets more life if this chain adoption will be happe.

It's definitely way overdue. And exciting!
I just figured there wouldn't be a need for all the websites that sell games and steam codes anymore. It would be much easier to buy direct. And possibly safer.
It is a good deal and it can effect allot of thing that are connected to Bitcoin so maybe also the forum market. More people now will come to know Bitcoin.
the more popular Bitcoin will get the more users in the end.

It's a while ago now that steam started accepting bitcoin and it hasn't really affected the forum from what I can tell though.
But if something like amazon and ebay would start to accept bitcoin then I'd expect to see a lot of posts about that.

Yes of course we can than expect a lot of post, it would be pretty logical if you are asking me about that fact.
The market never really changed on here because of the fact that the prices on here are more attractable because they are simply cheaper than on steam itself.

Agree, its somehow cheaper when you  intend to  buy on bitcoin rate  compare  to steam itself. As  you all said   it doesnt really affect the  forum market. Steam accepting bitcoin payments would somehow a good  publicity on bitcoin  because   as we all know that there are lots of steam users.

When steam started to accept the bitcoin then I have seen a few posts about it but since then I haven't really seen that many steam related posts.
It is because there are other forums which are better to sell these kind of stuff like steam game for bitcoin.

That's why as stated they both earn counter benifits since the scenario will be like this " steam users will use bitcoin and bitcoin users would pay steam directly" both of them really get some advertisement and scattered easily by talk of mouths tor the bot parties, but for now maybe we can't feel the effect to the furom market but provably we can see some effect on online markets,

When steam accepts bitcoins does not mean that the forum market will affect it becuase they are also able to pay each other with bitcoins and that makes some other things very nice about that peopel are not angry about it they are pleased.

I do think that it can effect the forum market because Steam is pretty popular and now the Steam community will come somehow in contact with Bitcoin.
So maybe because of that it can effect it in a way but I am not sure about it.

I think that it will affect the forum market too, because there are a lot of steam items merchants that are going to sell items cheaper.

So instead of the buyers are going to rely with steam's pricing, then they are just going to look for someone who sells item for cheaper price.

And most of them are in forums'

affect market means whether people who are selling steam keys are getting affected by it and probably cutting down their stuff's price so it could affect the current market price about keys selling, even this competition was really helpful for buyers

I think anything that has a connection with the goods this forum are selling will be affected once the source of goods accept bitcoin.  The same way it will affect steam seller and buyers here.  But if a member here sells them lower than the company price, I think it will be negligible on the negative impact.  Instead, there will be a positive impact since this forum sells cheaper on steam products, more buyers will flock in this forum.
