I think telling them what is the advantage of the site or company that you will promote. Also, adding some information like proving that the site is legal and not a ponzi or scam.

If you are able to afford it, I would suggest starting a small signature campaign.  You need to have a catchy ad.  I also have found that when you give something away for free, you have great results.

This is also what I'm thinking about, he just need to create a thread and reward those people that are willing to use his referral link.
But of course, he needs to cut his full earnings and give a portion of it to his individual referrals.
Once, it becomes effective for sure more and more people will going to use or sign up for his referral link.

i think you can promote referral link for those who trusted to bitcoin after you explain it to them. because if you just share the link without further explanation for the friends involve and they don't have interest on it your wasting your time.
