Exactly the same I think, after time botted account is worth nothing.
But there are also some semi-automatic techniques that allow follow/unfollow not active, spamming or fake accounts.

I do agree the same way. If you offer good price, you get tons of users here to follow you. It will also be better to follow back.

i have given it a shot. it worked great, but afterward my twitter account has been locked due to 'strange' activity or something, i can unlock it easily though. but can't prevent people unfollow me.

I don't think so. The paid followers are usual in the thousands, poor people in developing countries who will not look at your twitter posts again. This is fruitless!

Yes indeed it's worthless in long run but if OP is just doing it for a short term investment it might help him to promote but doing it just for getting some followers and no plan at all, might ask permission again to recreate tweet follow back thread or he can edit this thread and post his/her twitter accnt and let us see who will follow him/her.

Yes, that's true. But promotion is good only AFTER you posted some quality content, because if someone has a look at your twitter account and there is no quality content, it's clear to see that there are only shill followers!
In my experience, I did good to slowly build up content and then followed some big names in crypto. The followers will come automatically. And don't forget to follow them back!
