In celebration for halving day I am starting a betting pool for the next halving day due sometime about 2016.

You can place your bet to the corresponding address which the first bits mark the day. Link to addresses here.
ex. 1JANo4DVNbTu6eX1dic5HMKyevuSJeY7KK equals Jan 4th.
     1oCTo3o8dmvAGkjwzC4iws3rbNp6JcxaG equals Oct 3rd

Payouts will be made to betting addresses that paid into the winning address proportional to the size of the placed bet (-10% for pool operation). Don't lose your private keys, as payouts will only be kicked back to same address!

All bets will be swept into the primary betting pool address which is already seeded with 5btc
1HY8GtxdWuYXBoU8eRZWupBnLEbmXEG9gs

As a contributer to the pool, my payment of 5btc will be factored into reward payout against all betting addresses until pool reward has doubled i.e. reward is 10btc or higher. e.x That way no one can pay 0.001btc on all 366 address and collect the full reward of 5btc with a bet of 0.336btc spread across the pool.

Betting Ends November 30 2015

This is a 4 year long gambling stake patience is required.

edit. If total of all bets do not equal 5btc or more (to match original stake) by Nov 2015, the game will be scrubbed and all deposits returned.

Oh I meant bets, but timezone is irrelevant, whatever the time stamp says on block 420,000

The time stamp is a number. A timezone is needed to convert a number to a date.

Ok if you want to argue semantics, the time stamp is a UNIX time code which corresponds to Coordinated Universal Time (also known as Zulu time if you are in the Navy) which is largely aligned with Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). So that is the time zone.

What's it going to be July 9th, 10th or 11th

When I started this pool price was sitting right about $13 and figured a small group of people might like to get in the action without too much risk. I cringed when the price rocketed to over a grand and made my initial seed bet worth more than $5k. Seeing as there where no takers I'm going to keep watching just to see which address would have won and how far the difficulty adjustments moved the halvening time frame.
