I love Picard, but I see myself more of an Archer.

Jonathan Archer is really based on my real life.

You see, I used to bounce around from person to person (my workmates called it leaping). Everyday I'd leap from life to life, striving to put right what once went wrong and hoping each time that his next leap... will be the leap home.

Then I sat on my arse for about 10 years.

I got bored with that and got myself a beagle, promoted myself to Captain and managed to be about the only interesting thing and a fairly boring TV Show.

I'm now back on my arse doing nearly nothing (does bitcoin mining count?)

Yes I can see where you are going with this and there is a very creepy resemblance, but here's the kicker.  Did you or did you not have an awkward friendship between a Goomba like (tall monster from mario bro movie) middle aged black man, and a kermity the frog like Italian? Hrm?

Personally I think I would be Sisko, that's hard to say outloud.  Sad but true.
