One thing to also keep a eye on is the two biggest sports in terms of followers, Football and Cricket BOTH have World Cups in December this year.. So that is also on our agenda with huge planning needed for that..

Football have world cup on December? I just checked and the world cup is in late November and early December. Wow I did not know that, I assumed it would have been during the summer like all the other world cups that I have seen before, never realized that this one would be in a different period. I get that maybe it is about the heat or something, because it is in Qatar and the heating would be terribly difficult if you did it on July like always.

This means that every league would have to arrange their league accordingly, which will be a bit of a big challenge if you ask me, not going to be impossible of course but this is a very new thing to me. Glad I read your post, god knows when would I realize it if I didn't check it now.

I was slightly out with the Cricket World Cup in Australia, its October/November, then into the FIFA World Cup 2022 November/December.

And yes, correct, All the main leagues will have to reschedule a month's worth of matches around somewhere! and in what is already a busy schedule.. that's going to be some serious amount of games being played!

@Steve any hints on what you’re planning for both the World Cup, as these two are the biggest tournaments this year and hence I’m curious to know what you have planned for them. Also you’re right many player’s often end up injured due to such scheduling, but I’m hoping this year is a different story for them and they all return injury free to their respective clubs.

I think ideally we will try to get a few customers to the matches, both in Qatar and Australia, but, as we don't operate in OZ it may be a little tricky for the Cricket though.

As for onsite promotions, nothing is locked in just yet..being the end of November, no doubt we will roll out some joint black Friday promo stuff for the sports..
We are aiming to have a few technical projects landed before the World Cups as we are hoping for a smooth and fast user experience for all of you for the duration.

May is going to be massive, with Champions League Finals and also Bitcoin Pizza Day both towards back half of May. Then June, July is the lead up to the next Premier League season.. so being with Southampton and Arsenal for another year, some prep and ceremony for that too..

So, when I saw that it was in December, I remembered the cooling systems, how hot does Qatar get that they will have world cup during December AND still install cooling systems? I mean if it was here, we would probably have to put in heating systems .

I think that Liverpool is now closer than ever to win a title in Premier League, but Manchester City is behind them and they need to win against Brighton if they want to keep up.
In other match I am supporting Arsenal to win against Chelsea but it's not going to be easy, both teams are missing few players and Arsenal is playing next match with Manchester United in few days.
This is going to be hard battle for Champions League positions, that is third and fourth place on the table.

The 7th minute tribute at Anfield. Never thought I'd see such support for United at the stadium but it was one of the most touching scenes I've seen in recent times, and I seem to be feeling them a lot the past couple of seasons (Houllier, Eriksen come to mind)...

The standing ovation was a really nice gesture from the Anfield crowd yesterday. It is nice to see that the majority of the fans can put aside the rivalry and turn their focus to bigger and more important things.

Regarding the game itself - we are just on another level. Playing Phil Jones in a 5 at the back formation did not help them though.

That's understandable, I am not asking why they are doing it in December here, I mean that type of situation makes sense, even though it shouldn't have been in Qatar and more in a place that doesn't have shady deals like these and more alright for summer plays as well but I get why it would be in November - December if it is going to be in Qatar.

However, the question is that why did they built so many cooling systems if it is going to be in a decent weather? If it was in summer, then I would understand those cooling systems since it is so high, but if we are talking about December and 18 Celsius then why do we need cooling systems? That seems like an alright weather.
