That could be a bit of a Hollywood reasoned as well. I mean we have seen so many "underdog" stories that we are used to thinking like that as well. I am not saying that Arsenal is an underdog by the way, but lower chance stuff happened so why not.

I believe that Haaland took City to a whole new level, they were already the best team in premier league before this and won the title so many times, but with this it turned to a whole new level where they are not just playing well, they are literally dominating teams and I believe that they will continue to do it. I am not saying that it would be a bad idea, but it would be smarter if you could end up with something more realistic for Arsenal, like maybe FA cup.

Let's wait and see what happens in second part of season before making any predictions for title and top four positions.
I remember in last few seasons some teams played great in first part like Leicester City, but they couldn't keep up strong with good form until the end.
They need to have long bench with reserves to fill up places if some injuries happen.
Man City still have best odds for winning EPL title, but Arsenal is now on high third place after Liverpool in second.

Absolutely. That was a great scenario, which allowed the club to be profitable and sustainable. Had they kept it running like they did during the Leicester season, they'd probably have pipped them for the title. I know the main point of contention in this era was that the team always failed near the end, too lightweight, and kept feeding stars to other teams (but hey, that's ok by me if I'm honest).

Like you say, even if you get top players every season, you can maybe get juice in a cycle -- if you're really unlucky, you overextend and then lose it all. As Arsenal did.

I call teams like Arsenal and pre 2019 Liverpool "seeded underdogs". Odds on these teams pre 2019 (and in fact even in Liverpool's title winning season itself) reflect that. Liverpool were regularly 4/1 and 5/1 to beat City, Real, Barca...

Let's wait and see what happens in second part of season before making any predictions for title and top four positions.

I never liked Chelsea I can see them slipping more down the table in Premier League, and getting exit ticket in Champions League soon.
They are dead last place with one point from two matches and I don't know what they expect when they can't even win matches at their own stadium

I know my chances are slim, but I have to try, because I think I've noticed a pattern: odds must be 1.5 and above, and below 2.0 at the same time. I'll try to use this pattern several times in the future, because I'm not that presumptuous to think I can win from the first try.   We'll see how it turns out for me.

I understand the others, but that Chelsea game was a shocker for sure, if you are watching the games maybe you have a better understanding at the time, because as far as I can see he had a "live" wager, meaning he wagered when the games were going on. But I sitll think that Chelsea game was insane, 11 odds and tied for Leipzig to score, so he knew it would end 1-0 and he won so much with that alone, he would have turned 10 dollar into 110 right there with a single bet, and we are talking about many more. City game comes in second as far as I see and that doesn't seem unlikely, none of the others do to be fair.

It went about as I thought it would. I got just 7/12 correct on that ticket. But it was a long shot inspired by other people posting their multi tickets. My usual ticket passed through, so I returned some of those CL losses.



And my main ticket returned free bet from insurance so it was a good day, need another one like that to fill up properly before the weekend.

There is some postponed matches because of national mourning, Brighton vs Crystal Palace, Manchester Utd vs Leeds, and Chelsea vs Liverpool.
I don't know if other matches will get postponed but my main bet is Arsenal to win against Brentford.

@notblox1 there’s certainly something wrong with Nottingham, because they spent a lot on transfers yet match after match results have been poor only. Also Arsenal will face a stiff challenge from Brentford, but in the end I feel that they can escape with the final score of of 2 - 1 however one shouldn’t underestimate Brentford too, because they do have the capability of defeating Arsenal and if one gets good odds then wagering a small bet on Brentford may not be a bad idea.

I'm not surprised. When have you ever replaced your entire team (while breaking EPL record for the most summer transfers) and got away with something? They actually play pretty good, but that's because there's a lot of talent there, but it's going to be at least halfway through the season before they understand each other, never mind take the coach's training. There's also a guy from SB's ex-gf in that team, btw, who's not shone yet -- Dennis.
