By the way, custom tokens is another great idea on SYS!  I'm amazed by how many features are getting rolled into this project. Practically every innovation in the space is being considered.

But do me a favor, please don't do smart contracts... I keep getting the feeling that they're not so smart...
Agreed.. things that dont do ownership changes dont need to be onchain but can be anchored and scaled to enterprise level scale. Eth has many contracts that dont need to be there but are because nowhere else to do it. That will change soon! The actual real smart contracts that should be on eth arent very useful atm. I think it will be maybe in a next gen if eth ever does that but for majority of cases where things dont transfer ownership we know of a way to solve that at scale.

To the Syscoin Community:

There's a video currently trending on r/videos on Reddit.

This video isn't created by the Syscoin/BF team, seems like a community member but we don't know who it is, however, it is getting a lot of eyes and that's a great thing for Syscoin regarless!

Check it out!: https://www.reddit.com/r/videos/comments/7w4ep0/everyone_in_rcryptocurrency_is_constantly/

And we would actually love to know who created this video, if this is you, let us know Smiley

I've been hearing some rumours that Syscoin will be on Binance soon. Is that true or, at least, in the works?  Grin

If we are to be added, we would certainly appreciate it, but we have no knowledge of being added soon or ever.

We heard a rumor yesterday that it would be added today that it would be have been added today, however, the entire day has passed and it is past 6AM in South Korea, we have not been added so I can only assume that the rumors are false.

Only Binance can really confirm or deny the rumor, we aren't aware when or if Binance will list us. As I am their first point of contact, I've reached out to many exchanges, including Binance but that's all I can really do.

Are you guys actively looking to get on new exchanges? If so, which ones?

Yes. I look at all exchanges that are listed on Coinmarketcap and request to be added. If you have a personal contact of a large exchange that hasn't listed SYS yet, please let me know.

That's great. The more exchanges the better. It seems like they all want you to cough up some cash though.

Thanks I appreciate it, I'm confident that we will get on more prominent exchanges eventually. It will be hard to ignore Blockmarket Web and all the other great things we have coming!

Some of the more sketchy and smaller exchanges definitely have asked for money, the surge of ICOs has created a "market" for these types of exchanges but I honestly fail to see the point to pay for any exchange, let alone small exchanges with no volume. IMO, an honest exchange will make their money from the fees they charge and should welcome any coin that will generate volume (pending resources of course).

What is the biggest challenge that Syscoin has had so far? How did you guys overcome it?

I would say our biggest challenge was in 2014-2015. We had some big plans to make Syscoin the most useful cryptocurrency and we unfortunately had to really slow down our operations since the escrow provided for our ICO stole most of our funds.

https://www.coindesk.com/uk-court-syscoin-injunction-moolah-750-btc/

We spent countless days of sleepless hours on our dayjobs, continuing Syscoin development and fighting Ryan Kennedy in court, it was exhausting and it felt very demoralizing to tell you the truth.

https://www.ccn.com/alleged-moolah-fraudster-ryan-kennedy-faces-first-court-hearing/

Ryan Kennedy was also put in jail for 11 years for multiple counts of rape:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3724522/Vicious-sex-fiend-emotionally-controlled-three-women-raped-jailed-11-years.html

We learned a lot from our experience:

1-That we will never give up
2-To do our due diligence with everyone we engage
3-We built the world's first decentralized 3rd-party escrow system!

How did we overcome it? We continued with development despite having no funds, a few of our community members loved our project so much that they eventually became team members and the rest is history! Now that we've received $3.3 million in funding we are able to execute our original dream and so much more.

Its $5m. There is a billionaire who came in and invested in us after we had posted before closing.. great post and shows our committment. Now we are focusing on bm web and also doing r&d on next gen that really will blow the doors off of any blockchain project out there today. We will scale to enterprise levels. We have learned so much the last few years I feel it will pay off especially for all of the patient hodlers. The sys hodler is the most patient in all of crypto and will have his day in the sun. I hate hyping but im excited for future of syscoin and blockchain foundry.

What kind of fees are there for using Blockmarket? I'm wondering how affordable it will be because that sometimes impacts the number of people who are willing to use a market.

Syscoin seems so legitimate that I don't see it having problems getting on the bigger exchanges. You guys have built up a good reputation in the space, keep it up!

Thanks for your reply. That does sound like a very intense challenge. I was not following the project back then so I had no idea this happened. I'm glad to see you guys overcame it, learned from the experience, and ended up with a lot of funding. It says a lot when a team can overcome something like that and be very successful after!
