What's happening right now sure seems like accumulation. Coin is much undervalued and the price is falling when BTC falls too!

Whale manipulation?

No, the main reason for the constant fall is because those who figured out the sneaky mine early and became steemit whales are now slowly cashing out their bounty. This redistribution could go on for quite sometime. Hats off to those who got in early.

so which means after they done doing that the price will bounce back and start to shine up again, good point to keep holding and not to panic about my few coins, good luck.

Steemit is so great ^^ there so many nice people there and so much to read and do. I have found so many nice articles about all sorts of things. The quality is very high so I am glad about that and there is very little spam and rubbish comments. There are some bots but there are also good bots to combat them.

Well if you have steemit power it powers down for 104 weeks so it slowly comes out not all at once.
Though im sure there is more to it, someone with more knowlege of the platform should answer you question

If you are powered up the 100% annual inflation does not apply to you. There may still be inflation (depending on the portion of the money supply powered up) but it will be much, much less than 100%

I see a lot of controversy on Steemit.com now regarding the voting power changes and regarding whales powering down. Also there seems to be a conflict between big part of community and Steem devs... I feel there is real problem there, which needs to be solved the right way, for the Steem to survive...

If I read correctly, it seems the most of the problems come from the fact the Steem power is too centralized now, right? People complaining the whales decide everything, and minnows have no influence, so they start to lose their hopes... And whales (and everyone who understands something) hope for the power to be re-distributed during few years, so things become better. There are talks about the price fall being good for that.

If all of this is true, may I offer some possible solution? I don't post this on Steemit.com, because I am not a blogger, and I don't like social media in general, but I like Steem idea and I am an early investor, thats why I care.

What if instead of waiting few years for the voting power to be re-distributed, do it right now? I mean the voting power currently increase with SteemPower like this (linear dependency):



Why not to make a hard fork and change it to be like this for some time (maybe for a year or so) (logarithmic dependency):


Sorry for low quality pictures, I was too lazy to draw them myself, just got more or less appropriate representations of linear and logarithmic functions from the web. Assume the X axes is the SteemPower, and Y axes is the voting influence.

This means limiting the voting power of whales right now, and boosting the voting power of the minnows so they gain influence. This should apply only to voting power, so the actual wealth whales have will not be affected in any way, only voting power will. Again, this could be changed back later, in a year or so, when SteemPower will be more evenly redistributed in natural way.

Not sure if this was suggested before on Steemit, as I don't read all of the articles there.

What do you guys think about it?

No, I didn't notice that post. Thanks for pointing to it, its interesting read.
But I am not suggesting to re-distribute the whole SteemPower now (especially by shortening the dower down period). Not at all. Only the "voting" power distribution needs to be reviewed now! So this will no affect the price, but could increase the equality (and maybe the curation quality), so new members/minnows feel they have a voice!

well. yes. steemit have some quality articles, I have observed that too. but the sad thing is in steenit good contents usually being ignored and low quality posts and posts with images getting better upvotes..

I hope you FIX POW again or else, atm its being raped by some exploit, GPU or some botnet farm, the time needed for a block is a week and not 200min as steem client say while mining with quad CPU
