Just bought some. SImply for the reason i actually saw aurora in january. Depending on the amount available to pre mine i think it will take off but as a seasonal coin IMO

Far from it. Development is going strong. New wallets were released a few days ago. A second Android wallet is just about to be released. Development on qr code scanning for our webwallet (iphone) is close to finish. Isx.is is the only crypto exchange in Iceland for auroracoin, has now been in operation for a year. Development on a merchant solution is close to be finished and we just signed up our first merchant a few weeks ago.

We are just starting i think.

It would be interesting to do such a transaction, importing a car from Iceland to Canada paid for by Auroracoin. And a 2000 model is now eligible to be imported (must be 15+ years to bring into Canada) but I'm afraid that a Megane does not really stir my emotions. Though it would probably be the only one on the continent!

Icelandic banking scandal yet again. It turns out that when the government banks were privatized back in 2003 the buyer of Búnaðarbankinn was not who the government thought they were selling it to...
