Just looking into this experiment. Has there been much real world usage? Are there other examples of regional coins like this and how does Aurora compare?

I would risk saying that Iceland is the furthest world wide in terms of crypto adoption

I doubt that. What makes you say so?

I think a country like the Philippines, with a significant remittance economy, would be further along. Icelanders haven't even been able to buy bitcoin until relatively recently.

Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

Does philippines have a blockchain foundation that gets national media coverage?

Do they have a national crypto currency?

A country will never adopt bitcoin as a national currency.

What đoes adoption look like? A national crypto is the key to a country adopting a còin.

Ảuoracoin was and still is the most successfull êxperiment in terms of a country adopting crypto

I'm looking forward to renewed development of Auroracoin in the future, especially now that we finally have a solid ground (IBF) to build on (with).

We will release a more official statement on things (including the "maybe temporary" delisting from Bittrex) soon.

This announcement was some time ago. Did I miss the official statement?

No, you did not miss the official statement.   We have not made one yet per se.   Sorry I missed this question these past couple of weeks.

I can tell you that we are having a dev meeting on tuesday and this is our first meeting this year, and will help put the Aur dev team and the IBF Aur team on the same page.

Also the IBF has been taking a little more of an interest and role with the coin in the past couple of days, although it is not a major development, I am hopeful that it is resulting in a bit more of a personal investment in the project.

I will update here on Tuesday/Wednesday after this meeting.

Thanks again,
Michael Hannes

once more again. another exchange has been robbed.

It is the same all the time, I think it is clear we need decentralized exchanges.

Im asking for this so many times. But I think there is not advocate to negotiate Aur be put in to existing P2P exchanges.

P.S. I feel so sad for Cryptopia, it was good one

Keep an eye on COVAL's Emblem vault.  It pretty much eliminates the need for exchanges, among other things.

onsite is bad
- of course the could storage is better, but this is not a situation since could storage providers has limited coin support.

and than you need to fill your phone number? what?
- they send to you password. That is good thing. Without password You can do anything.
More on that, You MUST to keep wallet backup file. As they state, nothing keeps on their side therefore can't be recovered.
That wallet work similar to Metamask. You need password and backup .

- right, like any action You do on the web.
Let's find out really, there is no 100% privacy on the net.  Wink

So, since privacy on the interweb is bad, people should just give their private information away?

Illogical  Undecided

of course not !!
What I'm saying is that there is not 100% privacy on the net.
Give me an example of a wallet that does not ask you for some details ?
Any website that allows you two factor authentication with your phone does not keep your privacy ?
Medooza wallet works in the same principle as metamask with the ability to send the password to your phone.
This is i a good think, because on Medooza wallet You MUST confirm actions with you password and if you lose it, you lose the money.
Compare to metamask, if you login with password and open it running any one who have access to you computer can do action. e.g transfer coins and tokens.
On medooza, You can't transfer coins and tokens without password.
