https://min-api.cryptocompare.com/data/top/exchanges/full?fsym=AUR&tsym=USD

Looks like we just 18 million.

I will have to check if I have sent them an email recently to fix this.  I have done this in the past, but I was pointing them to another URL for the numbers.

Yes, and now there is a BCH/AUR pairing on Zapple as well.

It will be interesting to see what affect the upcoming halving has on the market...

This is a good token, with a working wallet and mobile wallet, like many alt-coin, the current market is undervalued.  A stable chain like this one is already useful, people just need to use it.

A rookie question maybe:

Why is the dollar price for auroracoin on NovaExchange when trading AUR/BTC only  $0.00881  but when trading AUR/DOGE it is $0.010281 ?

I assume that doesn't mean that one could buy a lot of aurora at $0.00881 using BTC, then sell it from aurora to DOGE at $0.010281 and thenturn those DOGE back to BTC somewhere and one would have a 600-800% profit?

That would be a bit too easy, so I guess I just don't understand the CMC price info?

What you are suggesting is actually possible, and happens on many exchanges several times a day.  What you want to look at is the available volume at the respective prices. So basically you may be able to do exactly what you are saying, to the volume that is available on said exchange.  The volume, however, may only allow you to purchase (for example), .00001 btc or AUR and you may only be able to sell a portion of that for DOGE, then back to Bitcoin.  If the volume is too small the fees alone can make it not worth it.  What you are suggesting is what is referred to as, arbitrage.  It can be a very effective way to earn money, but only works if the quantities are high enough and if you get to the "put" before someone else.

Lastly make sure you are looking at actually "puts" and "calls" (buys and sells), because often times the difference in displayed price is due to one pair being traded recently (an accurate price) and one pair not seeing movement in days, weeks, or longer (legacy price).

Hope that helps.

Thats what I'm doing, as well as offering guidance in Iceland for Icelanders to install wallet, setup account at ISX.IS, transfer in fiat, and place buy orders.

I have just moved back downtown and am working in a newly rented office space, dedicating my time again on promoting and developing auroracoin further.

Of course, I have been doing this, and although this has been spoken about before I am optimistic about going in for another round.

Just a little update...

Michael Hannes

Hi there, I am new to Auroracoin and just interested - what is the long term vision of the project? Is there any planned real world use cases for Auroracoin in Iceland? What resources do they potentially require and is there any government support?

The majority of auroracoins supply is now in the hands of non icelanders like myself and so its up to the foreign investors to create the vision. The future of auroracoin in iceland is less determined by the people or the government than it is by the foreign investors keeping it alive and building its market. I hope to see auroracoin destroy the current  fractional reserve banking system in iceland along with its bond  market and paper money known as the Krona.

The real kicker is that iceland has so much renewable energy that They cant use. Crypto has changed that because it allows iceland to monetize their renewable energy by channeling all that energy through mining sha 256 hardware.

I believe that massive economic forces that out out ôf the governments control will bring about the adoption of auroracoin

1. Why do you think coin holders determine the vision, especially when the coin is almost worthless?

2. How exactly are "foreign investors" keeping Auroracoin alive or building its markets? I am not an insider but I have not seen any recent productive activity related to Auroracoin outside Iceland. Icelanders, on the other hand: renewed the old code, managed to keep Auroracoin supported by Coinomi wallet, relaunched a Blockchain Foundation using Auroracoin funds, integrated Icelandic crypto exchange into their regulated financial system and I would not be surprised if Icelanders would also be the only miners keeping the blockchain running :-)

3. Why do you think a collapse od Icelandic financial system or its national currency would be positive for Auroracoin? Has the situation in Venezuela been any helpful for crypto adoption?

Who else is going to grow the coins market if not the investors?

The coin was recently listed on a new exchange zapple.com thanks to an american. He is Mining it as well. Thêres a handful of traders on Nova exchange buying up the 1000 coins that are sold on the exchange everyday.

The icelandic banking system is one link in the chain that is the Global financial system. In the last crisis, icelandic banks were the most levereged in the world and the situation hasnt changed.

By breaking this link i believe it could break the entire system.

Auroracoins price is an indicator as to the progress of this goal

Hi, DavinciJ15, just've sent 10 AUR.  (TX id: e1c017542f062cfdfd5f0e4430c8bb24a__________)

I suppose that will do for testing. The AUR transaction fee is usually low.
If that is not enough please inform  Wink
