+1 for trailing stop loss strategy. I myself have spoken to several people interested in LeonArdo but have held back because of lack of this feature.

For some coins like XRP it is a very nice tactic.
For the moment the current tools leave me behind when the market is going up or down to fast for the bot to sell. And New Year is known for very strange positions.
Every coin is having his tactic and behave different.

Nice site to follow trends, if you can speak of that in a non-regulated market is: http://www.newsbtc.com/category/analysis/

Hey Rene do you have a time schedule regarding the BB Bot when the last fix is  done Grin

We are working on a fix as we speak. There are a couple cases that could be handled better when the APIs are not returning or returning misleading info.

Hi Rene & team, please don't forget to look at why Bitfinex is so slow with 3.7.x. I understand there was an issue with funds not being updated (although it always worked for me) and you implemented a workaround (REST vs. Websockets calls), but still, why doesn't this issue happen with 3.6.0? With this older version everything is blazing fast, but with 3.7.x it's a PITA to trade with Bitfinex... Thanks!

This was necessary because we had to revert to the REST API for certain calls as using websockets for those calls caused issues for us. Version 3.6.0 still uses websockets for those calls and that's why its faster.

This is a situation we are monitoring and we hope to be able to return to websockets completely soon on Bitfinex.

Best wishes,
Jonathan

Hi there,

Lost a lot of money in the beginning using the Leonardo, but that was my fault. I learned to use it in the hard way. But now i see progress of $30,- a day getting to my break-even point ;-)
Love the Leonardo but need more tactics in the use of Leonardo. Yes i have read the comments that u are implementing new tactics in the near future, happy with that.

Question: is there a chance you are going to implement the following tactics:

* TSSL : Trailing Stop / Stop Limit
* Ichimoku

Noticed the Bollinger Band is having issue. Happy it is implemented and soon to be repaired.

Thanks Leonardo Team for the good work.

For the people not knowing the TSSL! The Bot sets a range for trailing lower buy prices and getting even better sell prices without risking much potential profit.
For selling it works like this: you define a range around your last bought price, say you bought at 0.1000 and set a range of 0.5%, Leonardo will now wait until price reaches either 0.0995 or 0.1005. When the lower value is reached, a sell order will be placed. When the higher value is reached, the range trails up and would now be set from 0.1000 to 0.1010. This could go on forever, as long as the price keeps going up and does not hit the lower boundary of the range at any moment (at which a sell order would be placed).

You can select an option to only sell at profit, to avoid the risk of a stop limit sell at loss while you're still in the initial range around bought price.
For buying, it works the other way around, ever looking for a better buy price. Starting point for buying is the lowest EMA.

You can optionally use RSI as confirmation for entry and exit points while trading. Making sure you only buy or sell when trailing meets your conditions and the market is either oversold or overbought.

(Don't know how to get the picture up!)

It is a tactic implemented by Gunbot ;-) why not with Leonardo ;-)

This!

yes likewise, leonardo does really well overall and then one big dip and one steady climb wipes out all the hard work. Leonardo is great for a sideways market, but just a few key tweaks could make it really great even with upward or downward shifts. Right now it's very challenging just to break even, let alone make a profit.

I downloaded the demo version, used it and wish to understand more on the ping pong strategy.

Let's say in PP strategy, it was set between the range $1 to $2. Buys were executed successfully at $1.

But prices dropped further to $0.90. I noticed the PP strategy "Stopped". Do I have to manually to kick start it again? Or PP strategy will "revive itself" when the price hits minimum $1 again?

Yes, it is! Probably also the next in line Wink

All the best,

This is awesome news. Btw, is the ping pong issue already fixed? I'll backread as well to see for myself. Happy holidays!

Yeh, I'm keen as for Binance too.  Their fees are very low too, and I have always liked their web interface over Bittrex, not sure if that's the best reason Smiley

I don't think it is supposed to stop.  I could be wrong.  But I believe it would place the sell order at $2 and would wait until the sell order is executed, and then go back to placing a buy order at $1.  Do you have the bot logs available?  If this is a bug, then I think the logs would be quite useful.

Upgraded to the latest 3.7.3 version and must confess that it is much, much faster in Bittrex initializasion that previous 3.6.0. Also was surprised by the effectiveness of BB bot in trading. Good luck to developers in 2018

Hi

I've been trying to figure out how to use leonardo but for some reason it often buys when the price crosses the Bollinger Bands - against what we would expect. It has done this a few times.

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

what is strategy 16? and is it running? if it is, then that is probably whats happened. All buy/sell orders will show in the main window weather they were invoked by the current showing strategy, another, a manual order, or an order place manually at your exchange.

The BB is unreliable at this time and should not be used.
Hopefully a new version will be available that fixes most of the issues.
