Are you stopping the bot and adjusting settings in between buys and sells??

Example:

You start the bot strategy and it gets to a buy point..At some point BEFORE it sells you stopped the bot (for whatever reason, adjustment, etc...)..You start it back up waiting for a Sell...The bot at this point doesn't remember where you bought that coin, it's just going to sell whenever it hits the sell line first.

So what do I need to do if I restart the bot? Manual sell? Cause I tried these settings and the bot did one complete buy and sell. Finally for a profit! So price was dropping and I started 2 more bots on same coin. They all made buys but no sells. I did have to stop all of them all and reset settings cause I did not have them on 12 hour chart for the bots. I even tried starting the bot on sell. It should have sold and did not. I have previously had issues with the bot for bollinger bands selling for a lose. I really didn't think I was going to have so many issues with this bot. I was running cryptohopper for the past month and was frustrated with the load times on it. starting to miss the cryptohopper. Which is sad because i don't think it is a very good user interface.  Also can anyone tell me what font setting I need to change to get the information windows to show all the text when they pop up? Makes learning what the bot can do really difficult when I cant read them. I have tried adjusting them but to no luck or change. Also is there anyway to setup something showing overall profit for the coins and then individual profit for each coin but for total of all trades? Would like to see my profits from this bot and overall etc. I really think this could be a wonderful bot but I am seriously starting to second guess my decision to buy this one rather than one of the others. Also would like to see some more informative videos or information on the website as to what this bot does and how to set it up. Please add trailing stop lose!!! So the bot doesn't sell if the coin is continuing to go up once it hits the sell point. only once it has come down a certain percentage. This would be a huge improvement to this bot plus make us all a lot more profit. Thanks in advance for any help!

Can’t stop the bot during a sell cycle or you could see a loss. Only way to prevent this would be an option in the strategy to pick up where it left off before the bot was stopped. Not sure how easy that would be to implement tho.

From the image in your subsequent post, it seems you either restarted the bot after the buys in the middle of the chart, or your bot settings are far from good: notice there were buys and sells on the correct signals (sometimes they go a little to the middle of the candle because they are market orders), the problem was that the latest sell signal was reached at a lower price than the previous buys. It could be avoided by activating the minimum gain option. But, if you restarted the bot, it won't work like that, obviously (past buys and sells won't be considered, because it was outside of the scope of the running bot).

Sounds like a lot of people are staring at the charts all day and micro managing the bot. If this is your strategy then you don’t need the bot. Just manually day trade based on what you’re seeing. If you want the bot to do its job you gotta sit back and let it work.

I have not sold for a lose in over 2 months till i bought this bot. have only made a couple trades for profit with this bot and only at like 1%. Have taken quite a few 4% loss trades testing things. It is really frustrating. I have had the flu and been laying in bed since tuesday and trying to figure this software out. So I thought I would understand leonardo fully by now. I really did not think it was going to give me this much trouble. Thanks again. I really do appreciate the help.

You know, I think it's a good idea, upvote this as a feature suggestion. Sometimes I feel the market characteristics have changed after I started the bot, and it would be good to be able to modify at least some of the bot settings (not only the BB Bot) on-the-fly.

Im my opinion, in order to be more succesfull, please try to enter on Normal or Oversold (higher profit) coins, and watch the volume on them. Make sure there is a lot of people buying and selling the coin.

The configuration i used could or could not work for every coin, i think it will depend on the stability of the coin, a very few are stable, but BTC makes them drop a lot ! DGB was a very strong coin even with BTC run, it was still on the move.

Maybe the candle is not big enough to trigger sell threshold, make sure BB bands are like more tight to candles

I’ve been having same issue today and think I found a solution. I found some stuff in the logs. Is it giving you a recovery failed message about 10 minutes after it tried to sell(the sell was triggering fine for me but didn’t go through)?

Oh and before you ask yes i'm running the newest update 3.7.5

Been having troubles with this program for weeks and expected more from these updates. Now i'm just pissed off with it and soon going to give up on this team.

That could very well be an api issue with Bittrex.  I've heard of a lot of issues with Bittrexs' api from other customers.  I was planning on switching to that exchange, but their api seems to be inconsistent.  I don't have any bot issues on Poloniex, and I have updated to 3.7.5 as well.

The only way I would switch some money over to a new marketplace is if leonardo team gives me the extra api for free. I am not giving up my Bittrex because of their shitty api. May switch margin programs. But not switching marketplaces unless drastically needs too.

The thing is, if the problem is the usual slowness of Bittrex' API (which seems to be, from what you described), the fault is not within leonArdo, it's Bittrex (their infrastructure is probably not catching up with the huge increase in customers). About 1.5 months ago, I was also using Bittrex, but given its API slowness, I decided to switch to another exchange (and PAYED for the new license, which is more than fair, since that requires a whole new implementation, testing, support etc.). The difference was night and day, which means it was really the exchange. Before purchasing the new license and switching, I did a lot of research, and specially, tried the demo for the exchange in question.

Now, of course each exchange has its pros and cons: Bittrex may be slower, but they have more coins, and for some the fact that they are US-based may seem safer (although if you research, every exchange out there has complaints, suspicions of fraud etc.). For me, though, during high loads it was impossible to trade with them, so I had to switch for something faster. Up to you to research, and weight the pros and cons.

I never had this issue with bittrex api before though, it's all I use on leo.

As I am agreeing with you 100% and as well to the leonardo team, this must be a bittrex api issue then. But bittrex has the coins I seek to buy. Not about to go to poloniex because of this issue.

And thanks Leonardo team for expressing your frustrations as well and clearing this up for me. It's unbelievably frustrating as I enjoy bittrex's wide range of coins to buy. Hopefully binance support soon will help my personal endevour here as I really really like your team and your program. I am just frustrated when I can't leave it alone for a few hours by itself without issues. I will have to send a long my thoughts to bittrex about their api. Maybe they can shed some light if they are doing any fixes or updates to fix api issues in the future on their end.

I did force sell it. Looked at my logs too. I figure its cause of the exchange I'm at. Different volume size and what not. Cause of that, I changed a few things. Set it on suspend too so it didn't stop. Figured its still reading the action without taking action. I plan to let it run while I sleep for better or worse. I'm profiting btw, and was fortunate enough to stop before a dip.

Anyone have any idea on how to save the logs. I wouldn't mind sharing mine.

The BB Bot stops on its own. Lost an order.  I can't use the BB choice.

Email support with a screenshot and the logs so that they can look at it and fix.
The more errors we report to them the sooner they will fix them and make new versions available.
