I guess that automatic ad block checker and inability to browse site with your adblock running might be deterrent for many people.
I know for a fact that many people won't whitelist a site and never go back if you force them to turn off their ad block.
I am sorry but we should balance revenue / payouts, we have a big investment but that doesn't mean charity, we are welling to build a community that work together to earn together, ads is part of that earning.
Anyway:
a-ads removed it was too complicated to most users, the papes pays more than a-ads anyway, now people don't have to worry about configuring a-ads and they can just pape and have fun and earn from site visitors no matter if the visitor is a member or not.
