how do i put money into bittrex? I find this page super weird. Can i fund in USD or only btc??

and then in bittrex only support USDT , not support bank transfer or another payment

Working with FIAT-currencies like USD/EUR will require them to use a whole new process.
To prevent money laundering and other illegal activities all purchase and sales of cryptocurrenceis to fiat requires verification of the user.

That is why on Kraken etc. you need to provide many documents to be able to trade.
Because bittrex does not have this option you also do not have to identify yourself.
They are legally now allowed to take and USD payments unless they have identified their users.

I guess you can not put fiat money like USD in bittrex, because in bittrex i do not see any deposit feature for USD.

I also same like when i first time know about exchanges but it's easy actually. After you login your accuont on bittrex just go to Wallets, after that find the altcoin that you want deposit. If bitcoin, just click + icon on the bitcoin currency and click new address. The new address will appear and deposit your coins into that address.

I have send XRP to my Bittrex account. Now I would like to buy BTC with it, but all I see is USDT on the Bid line.

Yet I did not purchase USDT and it seems we can't even buy USDT on  Bittrex...

So how can I purchase BTC with my XRP on Bittrex?

There appears to be a bad side effect to not being able to deposit USD into Bittrex. Since every coin-to-coin purchase is IRS reportable for capital gains, this means that if you move BTC (or other coin) into Bittrex, then use it to buy another coin, you will have to track the USD equivalent of the BTC that you use to buy it, and use FIFO, LIFO, etc. to track and report the capital gains on the BTC as you dispose of it to obtain the other coin.

I want to use Bittrex, but at this time, I'm only buying coin in USD and hodl'ing. So far, I've bought a bunch but haven't had any reportable transactions since I'm only buying and not selling.

I have done the research to know that many crypto traders are using like/kind transactions, but this is highly speculative and subject to back taxes, interest, and penalties if the IRS eventually decides that not every crypto currency is similar enough to allow for like/kind transactions.
