After see this topic paypal or bitcoin?, i'm curious who have paypal account these days. Do you still have paypal account even though you have bitcoin? yes i have bitcoin wallet and i also have paypal account, even if i like bitcoin more than paypal, i still use both, because some sites won't accept bitcoin, atleast they don't accept now like amazon or ebay, they probably will never accept bitcoins, but for example steam started to accept them, so when every place will accept bitcoins, i will stop using paypal then

Yes.I do have PayPal account and I get paid with PayPal more than I get in bitcoin both in volume and frequency.Despite all its cons,PayPal is still most widely used money processor.Every time I mention by online clients if they can pay in bitcoin, almost all of them refuse and suggest PayPal That is what it usually comes down too. Which method you get funds paid out to you from another person. I would guess that if everybody paid out by using bitcoin nobody would need to or have to use paypal again as most people here have said they have not touched their paypal in over two months.

I have PayPal but I have not used it for some time.If I can pay in BTC I will definitely use it.But for shoping online and for some expensive things it is better to use PayPal because it offers protection and refund of money if something went wrong.

Yes I have both bitcoin and a paypal account. They have separate uses. In the future, using bitcoin could replace paypal, but for now I think we need both.

There is nothing wrong to have a PayPal account though we have bitcoin. Bitcoin right now slowly getting more and more acceptance in the online stores. PayPal has reached users long back as a payment gateway. I think everyone having bitcoin surely has PayPal account.

Indeed there is nothing wrong with it and back in the days, you would need it also because no store was accepting the bitcoin. Nowadays more stores are accepting it but still a lot more stores need to accept it.

Yeah, grudgingly. I sell £200 of stuff on ebay cause I need the money. PP puts a 1 month hold on the funds despite many successful sales. Charges me a large fee on top of ebay fees I have already paid. If bitcoin became more mainstream, id drop paypal like a hot coal.

I have a paypal account and still use it for convenience with some online purchases. I haven't bought anything with bitcoin yet, in part because I view it as an investment, and part because I don't want to deal with the tax aspect yet. I just have been buying and stacking bitcoins, and occasionally trading a small amount for a few alts.
how dare you worrying about tax aspect when you use bitcoin which is taxfree rather than paypal ,paypal do get you taxed a ton by using their service, such a silly comparation “...if the party that gives convertible virtual currency in trade receives in exchange goods or services that are subject to sales tax, that party owes sales tax based on the market value of the convertible virtual currency at the time of the transaction, converted to US dollars. If the party that trades property or services in exchange for receiving convertible virtual currency gives the other party a sales slip, invoice, or receipt, the first party must separately state the sales tax due in US dollars on the sales slip, invoice, or receipt.”
^That is straight from my state's tax code. I don't know what it's like in your state or country, but it varies greatly based on where you are. As opposed to dealing with that headache, I just prefer using paypal for now. I still love bitcoin so don't be mad at me.

Yeah the day I started using bitcoin, I have stopped using Paypal, as I feel that bitcoin is the best for online transactions involving very minimum fees.

I still have a Paypal account and I don't see myself closing it unless Bitcoin is accepted everywhere Paypal is accepted. Paypal definitely has a leg up on Bitcoin since it's accepted by way more merchants than Bitcoin is. And I don't think this will change soon.
Exactly, majority of people use Paypal only beacuse it is widely accepted and it enjoys the monopoly when it comes to online shopping and every knows it. PayPal has been established 18 years ago certainly initial appearance only a few people who use the services of paypal. as well as the current bitcoin takes a longer time to become like paypal "Widely accepted" yeah most people using bitcoin for paypal more accepted in many shops

Yes Paypal simply allows you more access to retailers, that's possibly the main reason why most of us would still use Paypal, outside of that there isn't anything else attractive about the company.

I am using both PayPal and Bitcoin because I am trying to be as efficient as possible when I am shopping online. When I can't use Bitcoin at some retailers and the cost of exchanging Bitcoin to fiat in order to shop there is more than what PayPal would cost me I just use PayPal and vice versa. If Bitcoin will allow me to transfer money abroad for less fees than PayPal I just use Bitcoin. Both have their advantages and disadvantages and I use that for my own benefit.
