No, you don't lose your wings if you forecast wrong, the closer you are to forecasting correctly and the more wings you back up your forecast with the more rewards you get from the distribution.

I am not a fan of the way the current forecasting system is set up.  There are too many pain points that could lead to terrible outcomes.  It is really unwieldy to have to send all the WINGS you wish to forecast to a wallet they designate, then lock the wings up during the forecasting period after you forecast, and then have to send the wings back to your personal wallet (assuming you'd rather keep them in your own).  While I realize this is a very early stage process, and this could all change, there are too many points where a mistake could have catastrophic consequences, and if you want to make a lot of forecasts, the chances of a mistake increase. 

Personally, I think they should do it similar to ByteBall and Stellar Lumens where you send a small amount from your personal address, and that lets them verify the number of WINGS, and they use that snapshot to allow you to forecast.  I am just very wary of sending a lot of wings on multiple occasions to an address that they designate.

I never participated in the forums a few years back when it was really just Bitcoin, Litecoin, and Dogecoin (when it first came out), and then it was really just a hobby for mining and I read the forums to learn how to mine better.  I only started getting into ICO's about a year ago.  I  find most of the Bitcointalk forums to be filled with spammers and FUD, so I try and stay away.  I do a lot of my own research and I do my best to make positive and reasoned comments, but I also don't like to write stuff like "too the moon!" for no reason without an adequate analysis behind it.

I think WINGS is a great concept because there is a MASSIVE problem in terms of information asymmetry in most ICO's, and a lack of available information in general.  I think this goes a long way to solving that problem.  I just don't like the current method for voting.

Maybe I should just spam comments with pictures of Lambourginis and mansions to get my status up, but that's just not my style!  That's why I am still a newbie

Well, actually to lock an amount of tokens is a pretty simple operation
Honestly I didn't check the code
it can be made in a simple way
It shouldn't be too dangerous
If it works once it should work forever
I can't believe they can't do something so simple
you deposit, you withdraw
it is an ERC20 so it is actually different
but not more difficult

Wings or Bancor? Where would you put your money these days? I've read some optimistic messages in this thread talking about how Wings could eventually reach the 20$ target, but someone (a finance major) told me in the Bancor thread that he expected to make a x10 or x20 profit from buying the Bancor ico, but I've also read how some people are worried about the unlimited cap and how that can lower the investors' profits. Both seem interesting projects, and they are working together, but I'm not sure which one could be more profitable in the long run.
