I understand these are very hard to find because they give 300 hash rate right?

I found a source with 3 "5830PE51G Radeon HD 5830 Graphics Card" ($140 each!) -- is this the same thing? I'm a bit confused as to why many 5830s have different names sometimes, they will all generally get the same hash rate right?

Also it says you need 1GB of RAM, do you need 1GB of ram per card? What about the CPU? It has a 2.4 GHz or higher CPU requirement, again is that per card?

Does the type of RAM matter? What about the type of harddrive you use?

Also I've read a few things saying that being in the same room with a PC generating a lot of heat is bad for you? More interestingly, a guy claimed he fell asleep with them on in his room and had a heatstroke and had to go to the hospitable.

That makes me worry, and what about catching on fire? I very much worry about this and wouldn't want to put my family at risk.

You seem very new to setting up a computer in general you should do some research about it before considering mining.

Also there is a sticky: Beginners Guide. Direct your questions there before you ask. Thanks. And most 5830 are the same with minute differences between each.

Thanks but I already know how to build a PC and configure GPU settings, I read that guide.

I just need these questions answered before I order.

Sapphire ones are usually the best, cooler than the other ones.

This is what I have going with 5830's - http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=12804.msg194385#msg194385
Heat information is also in that thread. Once I get my thermal monitoring stuff back online, I'll be sure to post graphs.

-the amount of vram on your cards does not matter for mining.

-CPU requierement isn't linked with speed/name/generation of your graphic card(s)

Also, 300Mh/s sounds quite high. Check out this site: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Mining_hardware_comparison
I guess you have to find the best settings and oc to get this hashrate.
