Happy pizza day to all the bitcoin community!

"On May 22nd, 2010 a man in Jacksonville, FL paid 10,000 bitcoins for 2 pizzas (40$ at that time). The world's first Bitcoin purchase."

When they asked him about spending 10.000 bitcoin he replied

The pizza was good

My last art piece here (introducing some popart icon in the bitcoin era)

I think art and new images bitcoin related can help "everyday people" (who don't know anything about the topic) to approch bitcoin in an easier way, it's like telling a story about what's behind bitcoin, the philosophy, the magic, the amazing world.

Enjoy

If Papa John's actually kept the Bitcoin, they've made quite some profit by now.

He paid BTC to his bud who paid pizza using CC. What did that bud do with 10k BTC, nobody knows. He s probably buying his 3rd mansion in the Caribbean by now.  Grin

Did Papa John's not capitalize on this opportunity to market a $ 1 000 000 pizza promotion or at least name a Pizza after Lazlo? I would have jumped on that opportunity and also give Lazlo a 1 year free pizza deal, as a thank you for the free publicity. He has become a Bitcoin legend and also a major promoter for the technology. People realized Bitcoin's value, after this was published in the media.

Was it 12 milli' goodie Cheesy
I wouldn't think the one to give that amount in btc up for a one time meal thinks so now.
Papa Johns did not get the bitcoins. They wouldn't know what to do with it.
They would of said at that time "We don't accept that as payment!"  Wink

Anybody have the transaction id of that to his buddy?
Would be interested to see what he did with that amount of bitcoin probably went to silk road since it was big at that time.  Grin
