Just imagin tbis staement. The prices won't be reduced. They may be increased if the BTC price gets really low.
OK SO IT WILL INCREASE IF Btc PRICE GETS LOW BUT WONT REDUCE IT IT GET HIGH? this is why I say too many idiots here. Why are you guys pissing me off with stupidity. How else do you classify an open scam
To be honest, I have no intention in replying to your silly questions. No offense, but your stupidity is just beyond my imagination.

The prices of VIP/Donator tag will be increased if the BTC price gets really cheap is because:
- all of the members on this forum can afford 50 BTC by then.
- every member donates 50 BTC each.
- VIP/Donator tag will become worthless.
- there is no point in having VIP/Donator tag anymore.

Life sucks.

If I was theymos I wouldn't see any sense in lowering it either.

Then why are you still here? Tongue (I believe that makes you an idiot too. Probably the only one..)

Accept it, you can't be VIP anytime soon.

I mistakenly clicked the donate button then clicked a thread there and was amazed.
50 btc to become vip here?
I saw that many people already donated.
Counting the donation , It meab theymos and co got about or more than 5000 btc to share. I drank so much so maybe i didnt see that clearly. Please can someone with clear eyes confirm if thts what i saw?

Confirmed.  Cool

50BTC is entirely sensible unless theymos wants thousands of VIPs around (including you?  Shocked). Then they won't be "Very Important" anymore. So what is your point?

I will give you my point when you make a point. You are pointless now

Read it again?

If there are too many VIPs, they won't be Very Important anymore.

No. I've just provided you with relevant information and wanted to grasp the purpose of this thread.

No what you wanted to do was increase your post count to hide your sig spamming under the guise of being a staff member.

Why else have you said the same thing in two separate post on this page alone?

~BCX~
Ouchie.

But yeah, I don't think anyone is going to be a significant donator nowadays, though I could be wrong.  I do wonder when the last donation was that earned the donor either VIP or Donator status.  But I'm far too lazy to research this.  It'd be neat to have that sort of status but paying that price nowadays would be insane unless you won Powerball or something.  Or if bitcoin dropped back to $1.
The last documented donation was april 2015, dont know who though

Interesting point. In essence, a VIP tag is quite useless. Making people "important", based on their pouches (both taken into account the prices back then, up till now)? If for example a guy like Paul Vernon would purchase a VIP, what would such say about ethics... As such example, I surely hope the general would be to refuse the donation, and hence denying in unworthy a VIP tag...?

Why is the VIP still available for 50BTC? Why is inflation ignored?  Cry

If he had invested the 50BTC elsewhere, he would have had more. It should be accounted for.

Theymos will not change the pricing out of respect for the people who have donated previously, because 50 BTC = 50 BTC regardless of the fiat equivalent. In other words, if those people had not donated back then, they could have 50 BTC today.

Just saying you can't take a loan and say I will only repay the principal because 0.1BTC = 0.1BTC Grin

Lauda's point is that fiat value is irrelevant (I agree), mine is that time factor(/opportunity cost) should be considered.

Exactly how are donations comparable to loans? They're not.

Lauda's point is that fiat value is irrelevant (I agree), mine is that time factor(/opportunity cost) should be considered.
Changing the required amount at this time would be unfair to the people that have previously donated.

Why would it be impossible to donated $50? You can donate any amount that you want, just don't expect things in return.

Because both of them involve money.

Quote
The time value of money (TVM) is the idea that money available at the present time is worth more than the same amount in the future due to its potential earning capacity. This core principle of finance holds that, provided money can earn interest, any amount of money is worth more the sooner it is received.
