You should never believe any alt coin beside btc, only btc is real digital currency at the moment

I also think that bitcoin is the safest way into increasing you capital, but it's also one of the most slower ways. There's a ton of money to be made off from
altcoins, which should not be ignored. You just need to exit and dump at the right time, and know when to hold for long. Then just exchange for bitcoin in the end.
Ethereum can still bring you profit from trades, but i would never want it over btc, especially now when its hyper pumped.

None of the ALTcoins stand a chance against Bitcoin. But I see a great future for Ethereum aswel because it has a good utilization but I see it very different than Bitcoin

Indeed,  in fact Bitcoin and Etherium can be  team actualy in some other ways.  And also I do agreed that none of the altcoins stand a
a chance againts bitcoins. Cheesy

Anyone who ignores second largest market cap coin due to love affair with bitcoin is missing out on money making opportunity. Right now Ether is inversely correlated to Bitcoin so it is useful as a hedge. Could be large sell off next weekend when hard fork happens so may be time to buy cheap Ether.

I might buy some Ethereum if the hard fork is proved to be successful and the Eth price rises to $20 or more.

this is such a funny topic, and the funnier part is to see a hero member say something like this!

and it gets even funnier when you look at the changes in the past couple of weeks from the time this topic was created and see bitcoin growing more and more every day while ethereum is dying a slow death and only jumps back when the preminers pump it desperately.

Bitcoin seems to be the past and Ethereum the future.

The question is : when BTC will worth almost zero? Next year? In 2 years? Smiley

And nowadays Bitcoins seems to be the master and Ethereum seems to be the slave, as no one trust on it for long run and people invest only a minimum amount in there, and most of investor are now searching for other altcoins.

No, that is how you put a nail in ETH's coffin.

Well, this type of negative scenarios is undoubtedly possible, because we all know that technology is always advancing and perhaps the future will bring better ideas and options than bitcoin, but after the well-known disaster of ethereum it is for sure that it will not be the future king of altcoins.

Nah, it's most definitely the exact opposite, bitcoin has been around for years while eth has not.

I think bitcoin cannot be suppressed by ETH. Bitcoin is a lot more popular and most used than ETH. And it was recently hacked. So if I were the holder, Id rather keep bitcoins than ETH because it is much safer. And besides, I haven't yet heared about stores accepting ETH as payment. Unlike bitcoins we can buy stuffs like gadgets, clothes and other necessities . Bitcoin is widespread and it will took time before other coin suppress it.

ethereum is kind of a failed project and it has been a very bad investment (or good depending on which side you are on) for a very long time, it has a lot of coins as premine and it makes the price in control of the people holding those coins.

Both bitcoin and ethereum are good long term. Bitcoin as it is not mainstream yet, with limited supply as a currency (digital gold). Ethereum more so for business and utility use once problems are fixed. Also both only occupy only 11 billion market cap, that is a tiny amount for tech that could be part of daily lives in the future! Just think of the growth from 2010-2016  Smiley

If ether wont fork - eth is better. Otherwise BTC is better because the BTC community truly supports irreversible transactions. And BTC is more decentralized for now. yes its not  mistake
