Sad but true.  I know from personal experience, you can't sell novels on Amazon without having some buddies (or using a service like this) cough up reviews for it.  Nobody buys it otherwise.  They don't even come close to buying without those reviews to glance over.  And if nobody buys, you never get reviews--a vicious cycle of empty wallets

You are trying to justify to people who don't run competitive online businesses why the equivalent of spare change you're asking for SEO (specifically, as I personally would/do not work in the other services) is a good cost.


I believe in the free market, and this is your thread, but you may want to invest the time in perfecting one of those crafts and actively promoting it to real business owners.


We charge $600 a month minimum for SEO, and that's small town stuff,   if you're a Boston attorney, $3500,   if you're a national chain or provider, 5 figures.   There's more value in SEO (assuming you can provide the service, not just link spam) with companies that can budget for it and understand the benefits.
