It's need more confirmation from steam, if you heard a new news you need to check again about that's news it's true or false. Many gaming platform is still fixated with government regulations related to manner of payment because they do not want to get caught with illegal activities.

yes i'm agree,other gaming platform will follow steam soon,for accepting bitcoin. i think its has been official that steam acccept bitcoin,we not see stea post in this forum,but people here already purchase game from steam with bitcoin payment,and i several time seen that thread about someone buy that game.

They have a international development team from different countries, Israel / Ukraine / USA - Michigan / Russia and this makes things a bit more complex. I know Russia have been making waves lately with the banning of Bitcoin, but it's not official and they have been kicking the ball around with this issue.

If only one of these countries have a ban in place, all other countries involved with the development will automatically be against this move to adopt Bitcoin. It is a pity, because their games have huge potential to add Bitcoin payments. The saving in fees for the users, will make it worth it for these people to shift from other payment options.
