@Damelon,is there a crowdsale of Nxt 2.0?
Not like the ones most people are used to. If you hold Nxt, you will get the FXT (staking token) asset. So each Nxt is a ticket to get FXT. You will have to accumulate Nxt to get FXT (while still keeping the Nxt, of course. There is no burning or anything like that) So pretty much your saying that if I buy nxt now, I will get these FXT for free? So like a 2 for 1 type deal? Correct sir. I havent touched nxt in forever... i guess, already 20% up today, i hope im not getting suckered in on this one. anyway, price is like 1/5 from back when i played...

Buy and hold during the three month snapshotting period that will start with the release of the 1.9 version of Nxt. The Testnet version of this version is about to be released. The snapshots will be taken at regular intervals and the average of Nxt in accounts will be used to calculate FXT distribution. This is done to mitigate a possible run out of Nxt Assets into Nxt. There is talk of adding a counter in the official wallet to show the amount of FXT that you will receive once the snapshot period ends, but I haven't received definitive information on this yet. I will post more once I know it. Please ask questions if you have them

Sure, Nxt has been always an excellent platform, Ntx 2.0 could be better.

I don't understand Nxt 2.0 for 100%, but I see a lot of potential for sure. And of course free FXT and free FNT. Damelon explained more about it on Slack and I want to share it here too. 1. release of the 1.9 version to mainnet. This will be the start of the snapshot period for FXT distribution that will last for three months This will be followed by 2. Automatic distribution of the FXT Token This will start a period where people can freely trade FXT Token I can imagine that this will also be done via "traditional" channels, so we might go to exchanges 3. This period ends with the creation of the Genesis block for Nxt 2.0 The Genesis block will mean the FXT becomes active and also that people will get FNX at a 1:05 ratio to what they have in their Nxt accounts at that time Some key points that people ask often: Q: will Nxt 1.x disappear A: No, Nxt 1.x will *at least* be supported a full year after Nxt 2.0 goes live. This is not a hard limit, so if it's still actively used, this period may be extended Q: Will we need to burn Nxt? A: NO. ALL people holding Nxt will get a FREE ticket to Nxt 2.0 in the form of FXT Q: Will Nxt 2.0 work on the Nxt blockchain? A: No! Nxt 2.0 is a completely new and independent system Q: Is this dilution? A: This is a debatable statement. I've seen several takes on it. Good food for discussion, though Q: Is Nxt 2.0 really free? A: Yup, if you hold Nxt, you get in for free. Of course, if you don't have Nxt, you'll have to buy them
1 Nxt will give you 0,5 FNX FNX is the transaction token (On the childchain) 1 Nxt will give you 1 FXT (Staking token, for forging/mining/staking, name is not in stone yet)
Hope this will help others understand Nxt 2.0 better. More to come soon with a professional marketing campaign (yes, Nxt and marketing are coming together)

Hey guys, I understand that Ardor is "Nxt 2.0" but I want a little clarity. Specifically, what will the differences be between Nxt and Ardor? Also, will Ardor run on top of Nxt 1.0 or will it be a separate coin, with it's own ledger?
Why maintain Nxt 1.0 if this is 2.0? What I mean is what purpose will Nxt serve, on it's own, that Ardor won't serve that will warrant the existence of Nxt 1.0. I guess another way of asking is that instead of creating 2 coins, why not just upgrade Nxt?
Could I get an ELI5 response that addresses these types of questions? I was into Nxt since near the beginning and I still own a moderate amount of Nxt and assets. I'd just like a good explanation of the future-relationship of these two coins and what their specific differences will be.
To the future of Nxt and Ardor! :glass-clink-emoji:

A Personal Quote on BTT from 2011: "I'd be willing to make a moderate "investment" if the value of the BTC went below $2.00. Otherwise I'll just have to live with my 5 BTC and be happy. :/" ...sigh. If only I knew.

Ardor is the new Nxt 2.0. Nxt 1.0 will still continue and will be supported and updated for at least a year. Nxt 2.0 is a new blockchain, called Ardor. On top of Ardor people or business can create childchains.

Sorry! I must have missed. Do I have to tranfer the NXT on the desktop/online wallet or I can keep them on the exchange during the three month snapshotting period?
