So yea what's the cheapest way to get bitcoins in the UK?


Blockchain?

Mtgox?


Most reputable Uk vendor here?

If i were you I would do Mtgox.

Its the best/safest option by far in my opinion, not sure about fees but should be reasonable.
You might have to send in your ID to them though, so you know. Bankwire to them takes approx 3-4days

I'm a total newbie so I would be interested to hear your experiences if you decide to utilise Mtgox, specifically timescales and charges incurred etc.

I'll vouch for the Transferwise/Bitstamp method. Localbitcoins and Bitbargain are the fastest methods, but you pay significantly over the market rate. Also, I've had issues with so-called 'instant' bank transfers not being quite so instant, but taking several hours to process.

Btw, Transferwise may ask for ID after some threshold is met on the amount you send, as they are in bed with the FSA (or whatever body now takes over its role).
