It has been in the $400-$500 type range for ages. Any stock trader will tell you a move -20% to +20% off a moving average is utterly meaningless so don't pay much attention to it.

If it reaches $750, that's something to chat about.

It was very predictable, so I feel really bad for those that fell victim of scamcoins promises, instead of just buying and holding Bitcoin. The rise is just unavoidable, its impossible to not improve your wealthy by buying and holding Bitcoin, it always goes up. If you used ETH to get some extra BTC then congratulations, but if you are still holding some hoping for it to defeat Bitcoin, you are up for a harsh awakening. BTC is still cheap at under 1k, so I would buy as much as possible before it's too late.

absolutely right, we just need to wait. This may be a fixed time for the patient, maybe it's been a lot of people who sell their bitcoin, but I believe bitcoin prices would definitely go up again.

This isn't something to be euphoric about, but price movements are indeed a great indicator as to whether or not there will be something happening big. This may seem great, but the price is hovering to this range for quite a long time now.

It's more than likely that it's caused by the halving block reward but ... people should understand that they shouldn't sell just after the big price increase after the halving otherwise this will cause a huge price decrease .
I personally won't be touching my coins unless it reaches something like ~1200$ or more .

It is so nice to see that Bitcoin is rising slowly now and more people see now also the opportunity to make some profit in the future and that can be nice.
But it is really hard to choose the moment to sell it and so you need take sometimes risk with it.

I don't think I agree with you with 'bitcoin rising slowly now' because the value have been dormant, stable rather, in these past few weeks. There aren't really any significant drops nor hikes.

But if you were referring to the value from the past years upto now, then yeah. The value is somehow quite rising back up again to its former glory.

I think we all have such wishes
Any way, it was obvious that soon or later this will happen and that price of Bitcoin will go up.
Like in every market, price depends on supply and demand and I feel that we have now more demands for Bitcoin and because of this price is going up.
Of course, price will not raise forever but it great to enjoy this ride
My prediction is that in a next 2-3 years Bitcoin may reach even 1 000 $ goal.

Bitcoin value just hit $500 earlier and I was actually quite surprised because the value was nearly $50 lower yesteday and suddenly spiked to $500. I sure do hope so that it stabilizes at this point now.

I believe if we can hold onto 500 dollar, the coming year will be very interesting.
Maybe even a top at 600 before the halving or at the end of this year

Well unlike the last year saga to $500, today is different.

Last $500 saga, as the price reached $500 it doesn't stay there for even at least more hours due to lots of dumpers targeting a big profits. At today's $500, we really don't see any big dumpers as the price hits $500 earlier. Also higher value than that still the same.

Yes halving speculations really helps here. If the price will established it's support at $500 until the halving ETA, then I think we can see around $500 as new bottom once halving effect will prevail.

Well bad news are always there. Let's hope for the best.

Thought I'd post this little heads-up in case some of you have not noticed, we're now at $552 on Bitstamp!! I've been monitoring the price for some time and it looks like we're climbing again. We've now reached the highest we've been in nearly 2 years
