What is going to happen to the asicminer-PT? will you still continue to pay out dividends or will we be converted to direct shares?

IRC earlier today:

Quote
Ukto: I talked to DT. he will be sending the list of G.asicminer shares and public btc addy's to FC
[9:37pm] ThickAsThieves: I thought you handled it?
[9:37pm] ThickAsThieves: why DT?
[9:38pm] Ukto: i fixed the asset and straighend out the share count.
[9:38pm] Ukto: he has agreed to handle the wrap up
[9:38pm] ThickAsThieves: i see

Guess this means everyone is getting direct shares?

If you don't want to wait, you can convert G.ASICMINER to AM100 for free, or AM1/Direct for a fee, now as well: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=99497.msg3452278#msg3452278

We're currently processing most requests in a couple days, aside from any time Friedcat takes to confirm direct-share requests.

I'm trying to assess the benefits of going to Havelock vs having Direct Shares.

I currently do not have a havelock account.

I currently do not have a havelock account.

Nobody sure Havelock may shutdown or not, even it goes to Panama
So with Havelock share, there is one more risk than direct share.

Direct share is harder to trade.

Announcing G.ASICMINER, AM100, and TAT.ASICMINER temporary conversion services:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=99497.msg3452278#msg3452278

So it costs roughly 5% of the share value to transfer G.ASICMINER shares to AM1? Isn't that quite tremendous?

Especially considering that the process will take 1-14 days and you'll likely loose your dividend during that time?

No dividends are lost by anyone in the process. If you are worried, simply send your request after you receive tomorrow's dividend.

And, as I mentioned, we're currently processing most requests in a couple days, aside from any time Friedcat takes to confirm direct-share requests. The 1-14 days window is simply to manage expectations in case there are other problems that arise.

It takes work, liability and risk to provide the service, thus a fee exists.

I have not been following any of this and now am figuring out that my 200 shares of TAT.ASICMINER are stuck in havelock with some of my money.

Is there a way that I can transfer those shares to Havelock?

Ukyo, you have not responded to anyone's question about how to get Asicminer shares out of Bitfunder.

Why is this so hard?  Please respond with a recommendation for how we, your Bitfunder customers who you have taken fees from, should go about converting our shares to direct shares.

Thank you,

_theJestre

What about Ukyo.Loan? Are you keeping your word about face value of 0.01? When Bitfunder closes, will that balance end up in my WeExchange?

Yes, the link mentions that detail in an underlined section:

NOTE: If you want to go direct from G.ASICMINER to AM1 or direct shares, you may, but you must pay the 5 (five) TAT.ASICMINER-shares-per-whole-share fee still.[/b]

Excellent.

I have to buy AM100 on havelock though, and send you the AM100 shares on havelock because I can't buy more on BitFunder.

How do I push/transfer shares to you on havelock - to user TATInvestments ?

Use the "Xfer" link in your portfolio in Havelock, to transfer directly to issuer.

I just want to be clear, once BitFunder shuts down any ASICMINER shares will turn into direct shares, directly under the control of Friedcat is that correct?

The moment of truth is upon us guys. ASICMINER dispersed the divs for this week. Lets see how true is the theory of Ukyo being out of funds. Unrelated to WeExchange problems yet directly connected if he indeed lacked the funds.

Drumrolls and alot of popcorn......

Will take me a while to climb up again, But where is a will, there is a way...
