Being gay in America is currently quite political. You have a 50/50 chance of getting your desired cake made (the cake is indeed a lie). They are subject to systemic discrimination as we don't really fuck with gay people like that in the US (at least not during this administration). They have done alot to normalize homosexuality, in media at least, making everyone more aware of their general plight. Gay just didnt happen on tv when I was a kid, and if it did, it was open ended.

If anything, given the fact that they are regarded and treated differently, you think they would be a little more politically aware/informed than the rest of us. Basically, homosexuality pretty much has lobbying at this point. And you think the overwhelming majority of these people are apolitical?
