png is suitable for all graphics, that consist of plain homogeneous areas and geometric structures (rectangles, ...). the reason is, because png is some kind of loose-less "matrix" compression.
jpeg is based on signal analysis, where the image is compressed by splitting it up into small rectangles and approximating them with a frequency signal. so, this looses information, and especially for those cases where there are geometric structures and hard edges, they get blurry -- while the jpeg format still needs are larger file size.

It would really be interesting to find out how many people are trading bitcoins.

Does anyone have an idea how to find it out?

I give a bounty of 10 BTC for the one with the most accurate information.

What are you going to measure that accuracy against?

I say 1.234989f82346827341234753274223489728347728823. pretty accurate, right? Wink

It's precise, not accurate.

I stand corrected. Question still valid, though.

He's buying bitcoins instead. Also, he may not believe the negative outlook on the stockmarket. I'm wondering how one could arrive at such a strong warning for an upcoming crash though?! It is the same warning made at the end of 2011, which hasn't become true so far. Is it just a hunch? I don't believe you can predict the future from looking at the past really. life isn't by the numbers. In fact, it's very surprising and often gets in the way. (my two cents taken from data for the past 30 years or so)

The charts with past price development have been very useful to predict the future, and so they will today.

I am happy to reconvene with you after 6-12 months to demonstrate the extend of the crash that happened

Isn't this usually the other way around?  Past performance is not an indicator of the future.

The foundation of technical analysis is that past price patterns can be used to predict the future.
