Finally got my Batch 3 today, almost lost it on UPS when it still hadn't shown up this afternoon, at last it arrived just as I'm sitting down to dinner  Runs beautifully, great numbers, got a massively irritating whining fan on it tho, fixed with a touch of duct tape and some furnace filter material  . All things told it's really disheartening to see the price plummeting, I'm just ecstatic I bought this S9 with BTC when I did, if we have some low/negative difficulty numbers as a result of the price drop I'll just take the bad with the good. Here's hoping it's an inverse head and shoulders scenario as some people have postulated. |

It's starting to look like a "head, shoulders, and the rest of the body jumping off a cliff" scenario  S9 didn't hit my target of 2.5 BTC (well, it did except Bitmain didn't have it in stock) so I guess I'm gonna be out of mining for a little longer. More coins in my pocket - nothing wrong with that. If you grabbed it around 3 BTC you should be in fairly good shape. |

no i think it will pass 1000 by Dec 31 2016. Here are my estimates: $1800 in Aug-Sep and $3000 by the end of the year! imho, after halving, a solo block would be worth over 20k USD, just my humble prediction. |

That's crazy. My understanding is the state determines the tax. The state as in "New Jersey"? I doubt it. They would want to collect sales tax obviously but they're not there yet. And that would be more than $89 anyway. There is probably some bullshit "convenience fee" in that amount. |

it is less then ideal. I fixed your link it is below. what is your psu? try freq 593 try freq 587 try freq 575 after i "upped" the voltage on my PSU the miner behaves slightly better. it's a B3. I have to do a system reboot if i made any changes such as fan speed or freq, a save & apply don't work. Also try to power everything off for like 30 secs & power it again. The 3 methods worked for me, ***HINT*** higher freq does not always means better. I noticed that 2 are good boards & 1 is a little "cuckoo" & it will not go up to certain speed or might drop but setting lower freq improves it & much less HW errors but for the other 2 remaining "normal" boards are working as it should. In my case it's chain #1. PSU is DPS2000BB. Hope this helps. |

I have one board which underperforms as well. If I do a 'save and apply' without changing anything, sometimes it will come up good (higher hash) and sometimes it will come up bad (lower hash). But lower freq usually means better odds of it coming up good when I restart cgminer. I can tell within a minute if it got a good start because it will either come up past 3000 or it wont by that time. |

I did a lot of research after the fact and will no longer order an s-9 until it drops to 1600 usd plus shipping as over 2000 is kind of subject and over 2500 is subject to tax. |
