Just for the record I have a late January order that is to be delivered Tuesday according to the tracking numbers. Guess some of us are happy and others frustrated.

Yup, I'm happy that half of our January orders have shipped - but it's certainly hard to plan with Bitmain pulling stuff like this. It would go a long way if they would simply email their customers to explain the delay.

Thing is, they have delays and at the same time they shipped some orders early. I received my Jan orders a couple of weeks back, a month early. This looks like they actually have a fucking mess.

This wouldn't be as frustrating for me if these weren't my 1st 2 miners of 3 I have on order. almost $6k out in hardware cost alone with 0 income until they arrive hurts!

So I sold off the last of my ASIC a few years back but have been considering buying a few new toys recently.   I've found an s9 that does the 13.5 TH for sale as new.   They are only asking 1600 USD.  To me this is fishy as hell given the prices I've seen on ebay.   They claim to be shipping from the UK.  Worth the role of the dice? Depends where you found it. eBay is safe for a buyer, I've heard not safe for a seller, Amazon is safe for a buyer. Are you paying in coin or credit card?

Well I just noticed Bitmain changed my Dec 21-30 batch order to Jan 11-20! Wtf

Oddly enough my order, actually 4 separate orders of  1x S9's that was supposed to be delivered Jan 21-30... I got early.  Dec 27.   The orders were put in in the last week of November and first week of December.  I wasn't going to complain.  I thought someone canceled a big order so more became available.  Even another guy I know locally here got his and he ordered his after me, and got it a few days after me.  His was supposed to be Jan 21-30 as well.  If I knew they were going to be that quick I would have ordered more.

They did ship all 4 of mine within 1 or 2 days of each other.. It was over Chritmas, so i ended up getting them all on the same day.  27th.

I ordered mine November 11 along with 2 PSUs. I’ve had the PSU’s for 3 weeks now and the date has changed twice on the S9s. Makes no sense.

order 2 Pcs
Shipping date: Jan 21-31 2018
arrival date:    Dez 22 2017

Tested just now.
They have different fans, from hardware version to bminner version everything different.
Both take longer to start mining than usual.
One of the them is howling louder than usual, changing fan-speed between 5'000 to 6'000 every minute or so (I think this was happening with the very first autotune batches).
Have a strange feeling on this.
Can it be, Bitmain is clearing they're mines in order to get space for 9nm ?

can confirm that
my 13.5th miner listed for 21-30Jan is arrived Dez 21 2017
other firmware, fans louder than all the other S9, more power consuption, like 1500W,  this pre shipped miners are crap

btw: flashing latest firmware helped a lot

I received one last month that constantly changes fan speed (4k to 6k), etc. - I tried updating the firmware, but it's still the same.   When you say flashing the latest helped - which version are you running now?  (Antminer-S9-all-201708151137-autofreq-user-Update2UBI-NF.tar.gz)?

Thanks!

It is listed on CL.   Not going to bother with it I decided.  Not worth the risk.   He was asking for fiat payment in yen.

Received in response to my order inquiry....

"Good day to you!
actually, your S9 should be shipped out between Jan 11 and 20. we were expected to ship out your goods earlier since we have had extra storage before,
but we could not do it later due to the unstable shipping space. we will ship out your goods within the limited shipping period, no worries.
Please let us know if you have additional questions or concerns.

Best regards,
huizhen.hu
