My current job is not related to my degree in college. This is because I didn't think through the course that I was to get at that time. I just went with the flow. Only after graduation did I really really realize that 'work' is something everyone will be doing for the rest of their lives - so I should have made sure that I was interested in my major. But anyway, I also realized that school doesn't really matter when you reach being an adult. It's what you do at the present that matters to reach your goals in life. School is just one of the many, and the most common, stepping stone to get there. Cheers!

Looking forward pa rin nman ako kahit na medyo nauubos na ang oras ko ng pag apply truth last time nag apply from the said agency legal kasi nag apply ako directly from an employer at Canada ok na on process na kaya ako na stuck dito sa call center work due kahihintay ng process it takes a year and then after ok na tanggap ako kay employer direct process lang through agency and then I end up denied from the embassy nakakawalan ng gana nakakapagod at nakaka ubos ng pera pero as you i have a will in every way kaya nga eto pa din umaarangkada sa pag apply in fairness sobra tyaga ko na talaga. Ok ba yun migrate system mas ok ba yun.

Sa tinging ko, okay ang immigration nila. You have more benefits as a permanent resident rather than just a temporary foreign worker. Meron tax benefits, at maski anong trabaho pwede ka mag apply.

Some just pick the foreign worker route kasi minsan masmadali.

After that, all you really need to do is wait 4 years, apply citizenship, then get a Canadian passport, at pwede ka na mag biyahe sa mas maraming bansa, visa free or visa waiver. You still need to get a US tourist visa, pero mas madali from Canada compared to getting it from the Philippines.

Maraming nakarating, at maraming denied din, so tingnan mo lang ang pagkakulang mo, baka kulang sa requirements, or masyadong sagad. Marami din dumating na walang agency o consultant ang ginamit, kasi nasa official website naman how to apply directly.

Hanapen mo yung "Pinoy 2 Canada" forum ... good luck Smiley
Never tried it before pa or kung saan man may trabaho din kaya dun sa immigration na office I've heard there are some din.

It's hard to get a decent living being a nurse here in the Philippines, right?

I have quite a few relatives who are registered nurses too, but working a different job.

But they're happy too just like you. Smiley What do you do in PNP-NUP BTW?

Have you thought about working abroad kasi kung tutuusin mas maganda ang oppotunity sa labas compared dito you will underpaid and stress about expenses. If ever you will ask my sister din ako nurse nandito sya ng work kaya lang clinic unlike you work in a hospital mas ok yun. I actually push so hard for her na mag abroad kaya lang kasi due to work sa ganun nature nagkaroon sya ng sakit which makes her not confident na makakapasa sya sa medical sa lungs eh and I feel so sorry for her pero sana gumaling na sya agad kasi mas ok work abroad compare dito I've been there 3 years pero I still want to proceed and go for that goal then settled.

Why you can be honest with your parents and tell the reason let me guess is that nurse kasi marami parents ang nag encourage na mag nurse ang anak gawa din siguro ng abroad kasi maganda ang offer dun kaysa saan. Ganun din yun sister ko she was forced to become a nurse kahit ayaw nya pero natapos nya din nman ang curently working sya as a nurse I even encourage her to study that kasi based na din sa mga ads kaya ganun important din kasi na in demand ang course mo pag nandito ka sa Pilipinas.

A lot of parents persuade their children to take up nursing. If the child says they want "Fine Arts", ang sagot ng iba is "Anong mapapala mo dyan?" ... That's not the point of taking up a college course, even though for a lot of people, maybe more than half, take it up in relation to future employment or careers.

Anyway, ngayon, it's never too late to take up a new course, or even self-study and take certification exams.
