Has anyone ever lost bitcoins before?

yes i lost almost half of my investment because of scamming of 10itz .. but well  lesson learned but that was a pricey lesson for me hayys.

Hey, me! I have lost bitcoins because of my stupidity. I was playing in primedice that time using autobet then suddenly, my account logout and it says in my transaction that I have tipped someone.

That sounds like your account was hacked.

yes of course I think its because of illegal activities  .. scamming  a lot of investor losses a lot of bitcoins because of that scamming, other is because of gambling.

I think it is inevitable to lose from it because we all try the differrent ways to earn bitcoin and two of them is gambling and investment sites which are a really big risk to put your money. We are attracted at investment sites because they offer a big amount of return from our investment in a short amount of time. And gambling as we all know that no one wins from it.

Ive lost some bitcoins because of hacked exchanges like cryptsy
and scamming exchanges like cryptorush
and ive once accidentally sent btc to a wrong address because i was too tired and careless to double check it
but it never happened again

The good thing about doing these things is just that, you never make the same mistake twice. I never keep much on exchanges at all (next to nothing) and i always backup my wallets. Apart from that , the main thing you need to keep an eye out is for the scams which are everywhere.

do you mean that if some one lost the bitcoin in gambling or in trading. i have never lost a single biitcoin because i have no money to buy bitcoin. but i am earning it from a signature campaign.

I think all of us  has already lost thier bitcoin before. And we are all bitcoin of ponzis / doublers which turned into scam.

Yes! i already lost bitcoins before,  when i forgot my password in one of the exchange and i have btc in that paltform amounting 0.375btc i felt like a melted ice cream during that time but now that exchange is gone.

Not lost with the full meaningfull of the word, but i invested about 0.5 BTC in some Ponzi schemes and that's was a mistake surely.

Bad mistake. For me, btc, no. But a lot of alts way back then. Could sum up to > 1BTC. Hardware crash, too bad I was too lazy to back them all up.

I lost 3BTC due to a plishing scam.  Deposited into a web account, and was logged out.  Couldn't get back in.  When the DEVs unlocked the account the BTC was gone.  Live and learn!!

i loose coins in gambling very often...also i got scammed by hashprofit once...they ran with my btc

I lost 0.1 btc in a doubler site when I was a newbie, and it was my mistake that I became greedy and wanted to double my coins in few hours, but it never happened.

Not really lost them by my own account, had some on Cryptsy that were more likely stolen than lost.

I lost some in my first transaction. I had 0.3 BTC which got lost somewhere in the blockchain. It was never confirmed and never reached the account that i wanted it to come to. I didn't how it happened. After that I was much more careful.

Doubler site?What do you mean? HYIP or gambling site. I ever have the same issue with you, losing on HYIP and gamble but I think it's a trusted site but at that time I only a newbie.

Thought I lost some wallets to a hard drive failure and couldnt get my core node to sync but managed to sweep the private keys into an electrum wallet. Lost some btc before by sending it to the wrong address... that really sucked
