Current rate I'm buying at: 60,000 XRP per 1 BTC.
So, if you send me 29,800 XRP received in a giveaway (the system won't let you send the last 200), you'll get 0.5 BTC.

Just send your XRP to rnZoUopPFXRSVGdeDkgbqdft8SbXfJxKYh, pm me your Ripple and Bitcoin address and receive fast payment in BTC. More than 4 million XRP bought to date without a glitch.

I guess you have more faith in the viability of Bitcoin?

And what do you want to do with so many ripples ?
I understood that ripple is to send debt.
Can you send all you debts away if you have many ripples ?

You could try to get rid of all you debt that way, but there is one little problem: someone should agree to accept your IOUs first (give you a trust line). Otherwise, your IOUs will be useless, unfortunately...  Wink

If somebody agrees to take away your debt than why do you need Ripple ?
That's a real question and I found nowhere answer for that.

Arvicco, question for you. Can we work a deal offline about BTC and XRP. I recently began i-coinage (not sure what to call it yet) and only have a tiny bit of BTC. No XRP yet, but looks interesting. I can't send PMs on the forum.

And that offer is for anyone else. I don't know what to offer except a PayPal donation to offset your time.

Interesting. I really want to get into the XRP market, but I can't get anyone to send me the first batch. If anyone has any extra, I would love some help.

Also, if anyone is interested in an XRP for USD through Dwolla trade, let me know.

I want some ripples too...I will pay cash/Paypal for 29,800 of them.  If you say 1 BTC is $100 (and it is less now on the other exchanges), then OP is paying $15 equivalent in BTC.  So I will match his price for those who would rather have USD than BTC right now.  (or if you don't want paypal, I could send amazon gift certificate, I suppose)

I only want to buy 4 lots of them, so please PM me first and can go from there.  Thanks. (I assume I can receive PMs, but if not, then let me know in this thread).  We can break it up into two or three transactions if it makes you more comfortable, but that will probably mean higher Paypal fees for you.

And as soon as I get the first batch, I will be happy to send 300 to anyone who wants it to help start their accounts....first 10 people at least..

Is ripple still supported by its creators? I was able to create a wallet, but I haven't been able to get any response from the ripple forums--not even an automated email.

I'm a vendor/merchant. I've been doing business in bitcoin, and I like it and believe in it despite its recent volatility.

I've been willing to consider alternative cryptocurrencies, and thus far, ripple seems like a decent bet. I'm not sure that I'm willing to go accepting it for my products just yet...  but I might give it a try. Probably depends on the gateway.

It would *really* be nice to be able to post outside of this newbie forum.

I read today that they just got VC funding so that's gotta be a good thing for the company. Doesn't mean it'll take off though!

I would sell, but,
I see people buying them for 5x this rate (ie 10K = 1 BTC)

Yes, there are wily traders out there that are tricking noobs into paying such ridiculous rate for XRP, so what of it?

Buying at 10k XRP per btc is actually saying that Ripple is not only as good as Bitcoin, but actually BETTER. Now, I think this is a ridiculous statement for a system a few weeks into public beta as compared to a battle-tested and widely used 4 year old platform that is Bitcoin. In my opinion, people buying XRP at this level will regret it very soon.

One would wonder why there would be any interest at all then.

You need at least 1000 XRP to start using Ripple fully, but there is no way to obtain them other than beg for it or buy for other currency. You could always mine yourself some BTC, but all the XRP is kind of pre-mined already, so you're out of luck. So, people are buying small amounts of XRP at a ridiculous rate just to start playing with the system.

Yes I agree 1000 is the minimum you want to keep in your acct

Indeed, it is. XRP rate was 200K per 1 btc just a week ago.

Yes XRP seemed to have peaked (temporarily at least) yesterday morning. Now it seems to be going down slowly, which is a good time to sell, imo.
